Order Taking

Order Taker: Room Service. Good morning, this is _____ how may I help you?

Guest: Good morning. This is Jane (name of guest) of Room 214 (room number). I would like to order
American Breakfast.

Order Taker: okay Miss Jane, you are in Room 214 and you would like to order American Breakfast? Is
that correct?

Guest:Yes

Order Taker: Thank you for that confirmation. What type of American Breakfast would you like to order?

Guest: I would like to order Bacon and Eggs. Make those bacons extra crispy.

Order Taker: How about your eggs? Do you have a cooking preference?

Guest: Yes. Make them scrambled and over easy.

Order Taker: How about some freshly squeezed orange juice to go with your breakfast? Or brewed
coffee?

Guest: No. Thank you. Just bacon and eggs and no need to bring service water.

Order Taker: Your breakfast order will be delivered in 30-45 minutes would that be alright with you?

Guest: Yes that’s fine with me.

Order Taker: May I now repeat your order? You ordered American breakfast. Extra Crispy Bacon and the
scrambled eggs cooked over easy. Did I get your order correctly?

Guest: Yes thank you.

Order Taker: Your bill amounts to P650.00 .How would you like to settle your bill?

Guest: I would like to pay cash . Exact amount.

Order Taker: Okay Miss Jane. A room service attendant will deliver your order in a few minutes. Thank
you for calling room service.

Room Service Order Delivery

Room Service Attendant knocks 3x and says “ Room Service”. Waits for 10 seconds and repeats the
process.

Guest opens the door.


Room Service Attendant: Good Morning, mam. I am _____, your room service attendant and I am here
to deliver your breakfast order. May I come in?

Guest: Yes.

Room Service Attendant: May I close the door after me?

Guest: No. Just leave it open.

Room Service Attendant: Where do you like me to place your food?

Guest: Just leave the tray on the table.

Room Service Attendant: Do you want me to setup the table for you? ( other services that can be
offered)

Guest: No thank you.

Room Service Attendant: May I present the bill?

Guest gets the bill folder and pays.

Room Service Attendant: I received the exact amount. Here is your receipt. Enjoy your meal and just call
room service if you need anything else.

Removal of Soiled Dishes

Room Service Attendant: Room Service, good morning. This is ____ how may I help you?

Guest: HI this is ____ Name of guest of room ____. Please remove the soiled dishes.

Room Service Attendant: Okay ___ name of Guest. A room service attendant will be there in a few
minutes.

Room Service Attendant knocks 3x and says “ Room Service”. Waits for 10 seconds and repeats the
process.

Guest opens the door.

Room Service Attendant :I am here to get your soiled dishes.

Guest hands over the tray.

Room Service Attendant: Thank you . Just call room service if you need anything else.
