STUDENT ESSAY FORM (StEF)
Effective Date:
From this week’s module, certain values are exemplified through the use of stories. Using a story is
one of the most effective ways to teach morals to people of every age. By reading all those stories, I
gained many insights into their nature and influence on the members of society. Specifically, how it
affects our actions as Filipino citizens.
Values serve as a manual or a guide about how we make decisions or take actions in our society.
We look into our values to weigh the good and bad in our choices, measure the importance of two
different thoughts, and choose the appropriate action for the given community situation.
Reading the stories exemplifying values gave better learning on the nature of the given values. It
helps us study the application of values in daily life. An example is the story of the “Father’s Mistake –
No Time”, which reflects the importance of family, one of the known Filipino values. The said story
revolves around a father having no time for his family, which is an example of values we should not
adhere to. This and all the values exemplified in this module provided detailed insights and morals
that will help us choose the right action, specifically in our roles as Filipino citizens.
To sum up, the values exemplified by the stories given in this module significantly affect our
actions as Filipino citizens. It helps us analyze and take a good grasp of the situation and then make
the most efficient and suitable decision with a bearable weight of consequences. In a simple manner,
you can look at these values as a manual to becoming a good citizen of our country.
