What is the importance of having set of values in our society?
Student’s Answer:

Values are personal beliefs that influence people's behavior. They act as a guide for how people should
behave. Like a compass, values give our lives purpose and direction. Whatever is happening in our life, our
values can lead us forward and guide our decision-making.

Setting values in our society is important because we can see our sense of good and wrong in our values.
They assist us in our personal development and growth as a person. Our daily decisions are a reflection of
our values. Filipinos have a variety of values, both positive and negative. Obviously, we must stay away
from those negative values. We need to avoid having negative values like giving up easily and having low
self-confidence. These values will cause you to doubt yourself, which eventually will have an impact on
your mental health. For this reason, it's important to set positive values. Setting values like confidence,
passion, responsibility, and many more will be a big help in being a guide for us. Our need for confidence
stems from the fact that it makes us feel more prepared for possibilities and experiences in life.

Therefore, setting values in our society is important because these values will help us develop and grow as
an individual. There are different types of values, may it be personal, social, or cultural values. Most of our
values come from our parents and other family members. We need to set values because this can help us
on the path that we’re taking.
