ACTIVITY TITLE: Essay #3
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
How does your values affect your actions and behavior towards others?
Student’s Answer:

Our actions and behaviors are, for the most part, reliant on the basis or foundation that is supplied by our
values. The beliefs and principles we uphold nearly always play a role in determining the decisions that we
settle on. They have a very important part to play in forming our identities, which, in turn, explains how
we act.
My beliefs shape how I act toward other people because they require me to carefully analyze all
of my choices and choose the one that I perceive to be the most appropriate given the circumstances. This
in turn influences how I treat other people. It depends on the circumstances, the people I am engaging
with, and whether or not I come across as being tough. I may always act following my values, but it
doesn't guarantee that everything I do will have a positive outcome. Nevertheless, we shouldn't let this
serve as a convenient justification to reject and minimize our value as individuals. As long as our actions
are morally upstanding, we are free to carry them out regardless of whether or not they coincide with the
beliefs held by other people.

Every individual has a set of guiding principles that determine how they view the world and behave. There
won't be an issue for us as long as we don't invade the personal space of other individuals, so long as we
keep our distance. As human beings, we have a duty to remember that other people are also human
beings, and that just like us, they have their own set of views and feelings. In addition, it is desirable if our
fundamental values direct us to behave in a kind and polite way to both ourselves and others. This applies
to both internal and external interactions. When we decide to make adjustments in our life, it might show
us how to go in the proper direction.
