ACTIVITY TITLE: Essay #3
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
How does your values affect your actions and behavior towards others?
Student’s Answer:

It is a known fact that we are undoubtedly affected by our surroundings. The same goes with our values
which is the basis of our actions and behavior. We have experienced this ourselves, seeing how a person
we know suddenly looked like a stranger to us because of a strange belief they had that made them act
differently. We are a canvas of change, where every day there is a new stroke of paint that stacks and
forms a new picture, unbeknownst to us.

Respect and empathy is one of my top most values, something I unfailingly follow. Taking these values as
an example, the consecutive behavior will then be treating others with kindness, understanding, and
consideration. Valuing their opinions and feelings and striving to listen to their thoughts and opinions. And
by valuing integrity, we are likely to be more truthful and trustworthy. Fairness makes us treat others
impartially, and teamwork makes us more inclined to actively collaborate.

Hence, these values, among others, influence how we behave and interact with others. The same way that
our values are influenced by other actions. They shape our attitudes, actions, and decisions, ultimately
impacting the quality of our relationships and the overall social environment. Which is why the right set of
values sets you up for success and wrong set of values sets you up for failure.
