Document Development Exposition: Instructions

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
I love playing games on Steam and have installed many, many games on the platform. I wanted to
make an easy-to-follow instructions packet in case someone may not understand the process since I
have had to walk my siblings through it before.

First Draft (for peer editing)

I took many screenshots of my computer and steam library and did my best to format them in a clear
way on Word, which was easier said than done. The written part was straightforward and was the
last thing I did on the assignment.

Second Draft (for your packet)

I didn’t really receive much feedback from the peer editing so I just went through and moved some
things around and make sure the colors were a bit clearer for the packet.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

I took the feedback and did my best to fix what was pointed out. During the usability tests I
performed, one of my classmates suggested adding one more screenshot for one of the steps to
make it flow better and I did take that suggestion. I fixed the colors again and I tried to make the
spacing and alignment cleaner.
