QUARTERLY CONDUCT OF SCHOOL MONITORING, EVALUATION AND ADJUSTMENT (SMEA)

1. For this CY 2023, the SMEA tool has introduced some enhanced templates to be filled out by the
school, which contain all the data requirements relative to the school implementation of
mandated processes and school-based initiated interventions for continuous improvement. This
serves as the data collection tool to the quarterly progress monitoring and evaluation and a
facility to establish a school data bank.

2. The schedule of the conduct of quarterly SMEA is as follows:

3. The objectives of this SMEA are:
a. Provide immediate feedback on the efficacy and weaknesses of program implementation
vis- a- vis SIP/AIP;
b. Respond to technical and training needs of teachers;
c. Identify enhancements to school educational policies and guidelines.

4. In the preparation of SMEA reports, the school’s Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (LCP)
& School Learning Recover Plan (SLRP) and the school head’s Office Performance and
Commitment Form (OPCRF) must be the bases of physical and financial targets, physical and
financial accomplishments, issues encountered and actions taken as well as the hindering and
facilitating factors in the implementation of the target activities for the quarter.

5. It is expected that all school data shall be submitted to the office for consolidation and analysis
by SMEA team.

6. The conduct of this activity complies with the minimum health and safety protocols set by the
Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and the
Department of Health (DOH).

7. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum is desired.

Activity Objectives:

       The activity aims to:

a. Provide immediate feedback on the efficacy and weaknesses of program

Narrative Report:

Republic Act no. 9155 clearly defines shared governance as the management model in
the delivery of quality basic education. It specifies the functional areas to be shared by
the various levels of management as well as their differentiated roles. The evolving
roles of the schools are consistent with the national educational policies, plans and
standards.

For this CY 2022, the SMEA tool has introduced some enhanced templates to be filled
out by the school, which contain all the data requirements relative to the school
implementation of mandated processes and school-based initiated interventions for
continuous improvement. This serves as the data collection tool to the quarterly
progress monitoring and evaluation and a facility to establish a school data bank.
Each member of the Planning team reported on the updates on the implementation on
of AIP 2022. Completed AIP Based programs and projects has been identified as well
as the on-going projects.

Training needs of teachers has been tackled and identified. Many teachers needs to be
equipped the skills and knowledge on the use of the new technologies and different
platforms that may be used in teaching. There are some suggested programs and

projects to enhance learners’ performance has been given into consideration and will be
included whenever there is an adjustment to be done on the School’s AIP.

The provided information or data should be valid, reliable and accurate that can inform
decision-making to come up with possible actions and interventions in order to
continuously improve the delivery of school services for basic education and to achieve
the desired education outcomes.
