4. WHY DON'T YOU/ WE + VING...?

⚚ Usage: Được dùng diễn tả lời đề nghị (suggestion)
hay lời khuyên (advice).
⚚ Meaning: TẠI SAO BẠN KHÔNG…?
❀ USED TO: WHY DON'T YOU + V +...?
⚚ EX: We need more players. Why don't you come
along?
(Chúng tôi cần cầu thủ nữa. Bạn gia nhập với chúng tôi
nhé?)
→ Do đó "WHY DON'T YOU + V...?" tương đương
"S + SHOULD + V +..."

5.WHAT ABOUT/ HOW ABOUT + VING…?

⚚ Usage: Được dùng diễn tả lời đề nghị không gây
cảm giác khó chịu.
⚚ Meaning: THÌ SAO?
❀ USED TO: What about/How about + V-ing…?
⚚ EX: What about watching TV?
(Xem TV thì sao?)

→ Để trả lời, ta có thể dùng:

- Good idea. (Ý kiến hay đấy!)
- That's a great idea. (Đó là ý hay đấy.)
- Wonderful. Why not? (Tuyệt quá. Sao lại không?)
- Sorry. I don't think it's a good idea.
(Xin lỗi. Mình không nghĩ đó là ý hay.)
- OK. I'll think it over. (Được. Mình sẽ suy nghĩ.)
- All right. Maybe I will. (Được. Có lẽ mình sẽ.)
