WHAT’S IN
QUESTION:
1. What kind of research design is used in the study? Justify your answer.
 The research design that was used in the study is correlational research design because it
determines if variable increases or decreases as another variable increases or decreases.
This design established an association between variables which are the ages and sleep
duration. It measures variables as it occurs. In a larger sense, it clarifies the relationship
between variables and predicts magnitude of the association.

PARTICIPANTS:
1. In terms of sampling, who will be your target population and what type of sampling will you
use? Justify your choice.
 My target population would be the Senior High School students and I will use Stratified
Random Sampling to determine the sample size of my study. I choose Stratified Random
Sampling because I want to give an equal chance to all members of the population to be
chosen.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

 In a research design, population and sampling are two important terms. A population is a
group of individuals that share common connections.
 A sample is a subset of the population.
 The sample size is the number of individuals in sample.
 The more representative the sample of the population, the more confident the researcher
can be in the quality of the results.
 In probability sampling, the aim is to identify a sample that resembles the population
from which it was drawn.
 There are four types of probability samples including simple random sample, stratified
random sample, cluster sample and systematic sample.

WHAT I CAN DO

Formulate the Research Questions of the Study:

 What are the Senior High School students’ knowledge, attitude and perceptions towards
COVID-19 pandemic?

Identify Population of the Study:

 Senior High School students in Bataan Province

Identify the Sample Size of the Study:

 1,500 Senior High School students in Bataan Province
