II.THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE (FOR FURTURE) - THÌ HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN

1. Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn
 Diễn tả hành động, sự việc xảy ra ngay tại thời điểm nói.
 Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra và kéo dài một thời gian ở hiện tại.
 Diễn tả những tình huống đang tiến triển, đang thay đổi (dù kéo dài)
 Diễn tả những sự việc xảy ra trong khoảng thời gian gần lúc nói (ví dụ như: hôm nay, tuần này,
tối nay...)

** CẤU TRÚC **
- Khẳng định
I + am + Ving + ...
He/ She/ It/ S số ít + is + Ving + ...
We/ You/ They/ S số nhiều + are + Ving + ...
- Phủ định
I + am not + Ving + ...
He/ She/ It/ S số ít + is not + Ving + ...
We/ You/ They/ S số nhiều + are not + Ving + ...
- Nghi vấn
Am + I + Ving + ...?
Is + He/ She/ It/ S số ít + Ving + ...?
Are + We/ You/ They/ S số nhiều + Ving + ...?
Cách thêm đuôi ING vào sau động từ
- Thông thường nhất, ta thêm đuôi -ing vào sau các động từ.
read >> reading; go >> going
- Khi động từ kết thúc bằng “e”, ta bỏ “e” trước khi thêm “ing”.
have >> having; make >> making
- Khi động từ kết thúc bằng “ee”, ta thêm ing mà không bỏ “e”.
see >> seeing; agree >> agreeing
- Khi động từ kết thúc bằng “ie” ta đổi “ie”->“y” rồi thêm “ing”.
lie >> lying; die >> dying
- Khi âm tiết cuối của động từ mang trọng âm và có chứa 1 nguyên âm + 1 phụ âm, ta gấp đôi phụ âm
cuối rồi thêm “ing”.
run >> running; permit >> permitting
Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn diễn tả tương lai
- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn được dùng diễn tả sự sắp xếp hay kế hoạch trong tương lai, thường có từ chỉ
thời gian.
- Cấu trúc: S + am/ is/ are + V-ing
