Preface

I am Princess Evangelista, 18 years old. I live in Panabingan, San Antonio

Nueva Ecija. Currently a grade 12 student under the Humanities and Social

Sciences strand at Zaragoza National High School.

This portfolio was created to showcase my best work in the Trends and

critical Thinking in the 21st Century Culture subject, guided by Ms. Marianne U.

Yambot (practice teacher) under the supervision of Ms. Shamae Fineza.

My artifact is a scrapbook consisting the definition of trends and fads and

their differences, process of identifying a trend, elements of a trend and its

characteristics. My partner and I got a score of 41 out of 50 which is a fair scoring

for me. By doing the said scrapbook, we had to cram because we don't have

enough time to start working on it because if other activities and projects in other

subjects. Gladly, we have finished this scrapbook before the actual deadline.

Reflection on the Artifact

While the scrapbook is in the making, I've started to realized that this kind of

output is really helpful in retaining what you have learned. Right now I can still

recall almost everything that we have learned about trend and fads.

I may be able to explain the difference between the two, the different steps of

identifying the trend (trend analysis, trends spotting and trend spotter), and the

three elements of a trend (it must be new, generally applicable, and socially and

industrially relevant). Also I can distinguish if some things are trends or fads.

On the other hand, this portfolio will be beneficial for me and for other people that

may going to see it. This will serve as an evidence of my compliance on the task.

By doing this portfolio, I was able to showcase my creativity and skills that I may

use for future purposes.

Personal Vision and Goals in the Future

In the future, I want to see myself complying to the duties and responsibilities of a

soldier. Not just to provide and pay back the sacrifices of my parents but also

provide the needs and wants of my own family. In ten years, I want to be in a

position of being a mother to my child with my husband, Aldrian Tambalo. These

things will be possible if I study harder and smarter now. That is why I will do the

very best that I can to make each of my dreams happen. I don't want to worry

about my future, hence, I promise myself to be more honest, more careful and

more responsible than before.
