PRAFACE
All praise and gratitude to Allah SWT who has given His grace
and grace so that I can complete this PKL activity and PKL report from
start to finish smoothly and well.
By holding Field Work Practices, students are expected to be able
to achieve the desired goals. Among them, students can recognize the
world of work and be able to apply the material that has been taught and
learned during the PKL at Yamaha. Also, students can apply real
practices and add new insights and experiences in the world of work /
industry.
This Writing Report is made based on the English assignment,
Mrs. Kuratul Aini’s Internship report writing material. Therefore, on this
sheet and opportunity, I would like to thank you the various parties who
have participated :

CHAPTER

A. BACKGROUND OF WRITING

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills and character. The


learning process is so that students are active in developing their potential
to have the skills needed for themselves and society.

SMK or Vocational High School is an upper secondary education


institution, which has activities in the field of education that lead to the
development of skills and mastery of knowledge in the vocational or
work field which aims to enable students to have the expertise to enter
the industrial or work business world.

Therefore, every vocational high school is recommended to carry


out Field Work Practices (PKL) to introduce students to the real world of
work, as well as to prepare students to compete in the world of work and
industry.

The implementation of Field Work Practices (PKL) is proof of the


material and practical learning that has been learned at school. Also
includes graduation requirements from SMKN 39 Central Jakarta in
achieving the goal of relevance to labor needs.

B. PURPOSE OF WRITING

1. Producing qualified workers who have expertise in their respective


majors with a level of knowledge and work skills in accordance with
the demands of the workplace.

2. Acquire real experience working directly in accordance with the


department.

3. Students can find out the differences between the school environment
and the world of work / industry.

C. SCHEME OF WRITING

WORKSHOP ORGANIZATION

1) WORKSHOP HEAD : Has the task of leading the company by


issuing company or institution policies. Select, assign, supervise the
duties of employees and department heads.

2) SERVICE ADVISOR : Responsible for serving the needs of


customers who come in and out of the workshop by listening,
analyzing, and explaining. also controls various customer complaints
about services performed by mechanics.

3) FRONT DESK : Have the task of welcoming guests, registering


customers who want service. Provide and assist consumers if there
are difficulties or questions. And serve payment/cashier.

4) COUNTER SERVICE : Report and ask for the identity of the


motorcycle service results then the results are reported to the chief
mechanic.

5) MECHANIC : Service and maintenance, repairs made from light,


medium, and heavy must all be done responsibly.

D . METHOD OF WRITING

In doing this writing there are several methods that are carried out,
namely:

1. Data Collection Techniques.

A. Observation, namely by observing activities or work procedures


related to the object under study.

B. Interview , That is by conducting direct questions and answers with


people

C. Data analysis method :

Data analysis carried out in this study is to use the qualitative


descriptive method. qualitative description method is an analysis method
by first collecting data obtained from the results of research in the form
of verbal facts or information only.

II

A. DEFINITION OF THE WORK PRACTICE

PKL is a form of activity that takes place in a direct work


environment. PKL can be carried out by vocational students, students and
new employees. At the student level, PKL is a systematic implementation
between educational programs at school and mastery of expertise
programs obtained through direct work activities in the world of work to
achieve a certain level of expertise, in student language commonly called
"internship" or Intern.

Based on the understanding of experts, according to Malayu S.D


Hasibuan (2003: 77) argues that, "Field Work Practice is an education
and training program carried out in the world of work, where trainees
directly work in the workplace to learn and imitate a job under the
guidance of a supervisor.

B. BACKGROUND OF THE WORK PRACTICE

Based on the 4th semester assignment, class 11 is required to do


an internship for 3 months. In our internship for 3 months we gained
new experiences and knowledge about how to repair and service
motorbikes. and there we found quite a lot of problems because we
were still new to the world of work. some of the activities or what we
did in the motorcycle workshop.

1. analyzing faults on motorcycles

2. repair and replace motorcycle parts.

C. PURPOSE OF THE WORK PRACTICE

D. INDENTIFICATION OF COMPANY

Yamaha Miki Motor Workshop is located at Jl. Dermaga No.3


Rt.005/08, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. This workshop was
established in 2013. This workshop provides light service, Checking,
Repairing, Battery, Carb Cleaning, Electrical and Tire Repair.

E. TIME AND PLACE OF WORK

The implementation time starts January 9 - April 29, 2023,


working from 7.30 AM to 5.00 PM . The Field Work Practice (PKL) that
I did was at the YAMAHA Miki Motor Workshop Jl. Dermaga No.3
Rt.005/08, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. .

III

A. CONCLUSION

With the PKL, I gained a lot of experience and new knowledge


from outside of school. I can also get to know and feel the real world of
work. After carrying out the PKL, I can draw conclusions including;

1. I can learn how to interact with customers directly and listen to their
2. complaints.
3. I was able to learn about new equipment in the workshop.

4. I was able to feel the joy and fatigue of working.

5. I can interact with many people and different characteristics.

6. Got a lot of experience and new material. From not knowing to


knowing

7. I can learn to analyze and handle troubleshooting on motorbikes.

8. I can know how to service my own motorcycle.

B. SUGGESTION

1. Students should prepare mentally, physically and material


knowledge before carrying out PKL.

2. Students must be disciplined, polite and obedient to industry


rules.

3. Students must be able to communicate well with mechanics and


company leaders.

4. Students must ask a lot of questions to mechanics and industry


supervisors.

5. Students must have initiative and motivation during the


implementation of PKL.

6. Students / I do not forget to fill out the Journal during the


implementation of the PKL

7. Students are careful at work, if they make a mistake, try not to


repeat it again.
