SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN TEACHING READING

I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. Read and Understand the story precisely.


b. Analyzed the importance of reading with comprehension.
c. Share their thoughts about the story the teacher have read.
d. Write their own insights about the story.

A. Preliminary Activities:
 Greeting
 Prayer
 Classroom Arrangement
 Checking of Attendance
B. Activity Proper
The teacher will read and discuss The Story of Orpheus and Eurydice in a ways that
are properly understood.
C. Exercise/Assimilation
The teacher will give the students an exercise activity. The exercise activity that a
teacher should give is related on discussions. The students will be playing “choose a
number”. The numbers corresponds a questions that a students must define, it’s
either a character or a thing. By doing this, the students will enhance their
vocabulary, pronunciation and thinking skills.
D. Generalization
The teacher will ask a students a questions regarding the topic they have been
tackled. The students must answer the questions because it is the reflection of what
they have learned.
E. Application
The teacher will call a students for a graded recitation. The students will be called as
they raise their hand as the teacher ask a questions. The teacher will be choosing
only one students per question. They will be answering the questions base on the
topic/story that the teacher have been read. After the students answer the questions
correctly the teacher will be giving a points for those who answer.

IV. EVALUATION
The students will be task to write a composition expressing their insights and
knowledge about the story.

V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will provide a homework which is to create another title of this story
based on their understanding.
