LEARNING By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils will be able to:
OBJECTIVES 1. Identify the animals and their young.
2. Spell and write the name of animals and their young.
SUCCESS 1. Pupils can identify the animals and their young from the
CRITERIA pictures shown.
2. Pupils can spell and write the names of the animals and
their young.
LEARNING Pre-Lesson:
ACTIVITIES 1. T shows some pictures of animals on the board
randomly. The pictures of baby animals given
separately to the pupils randomly.
2. T asks the pupils to identify the animals and pupils
match the animals with their young.

Lesson development:
1. Teacher plays a video about animals and their young
ones.
2. Pupils look at the pictures in the video and pupils then
identify the name of the baby animals based on the
video played.
3. Pupils spell and tell the name of the animals with their
young.
4. Teacher then shows a slide of the animals and their
young ones.
5. Teacher divides the pupils into 5 groups and will be
given an envelope with the pictures of animals and their
young.
6. Teacher gives the task/worksheet (A3 size) to each
group.
7. Pupils then identify and match the animals with their
baby in the worksheet given based on the slide
displayed.
8. Pupils complete their task.
9. Teacher asks the group randomly to come to the front
and present their work.
10. Teacher and pupils then correct their friend’s work.

Post-lesson:
1. Teacher shows the slides and revise today’s lesson.
2. Teacher points the animals and pupils tell the name of
their babies.
