I. Objectives:
At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:
1. determine whether a relation is a function or relation given an arrow diagram, set of
ordered pairs, or a graph;
2. apply the idea of function in real-life situations; and
3. participate actively during class discussion

I. Customary Greeting
Good morning, class!
: Good morning,Ma’am!
You must say, Welcome to the world of
Math.
: Welcome to the world of Math!
Before you seat, kindly arrange first your
chairs and pick up those litters under them.
: Thank you, Ma’am!
Attendance officer, kindly check the
attendance for today.
: Yes, Ma’am!
B. Motivation
Before we start discussing our lesson for
today, we will first have a game entitled
“GUESS WHAT”. We will use colour wheel.
You will spin the wheel and guess the
word/group of words being described to every
color in the wheel that will be pointed by the
arrow. Will you please read the additional
instruction, _______.
: (A student will read the instruction.)
1) You will be grouped into three. The
character under your arm chair will
determine your team. Each team will be
given a flashcard for you to write your
answer.
2) The first team who will raise their
flashcard which contains the correct
answer will be given 3 points and a
chance to spin the wheel for the next
question, and 1 point for the remaining
team who get the correct answer.
3) Determine the word/group of words
being described (six definitions will be
given one at a time).
4) Given the JUMBLED LETTERS,
arrange it correctly to get the correct
answer. Write your answer on the
flashcards.
5) At the end of the game, the group with
highest points will receive a prize.
5) : DOMAIN, Ma’am!
(O D A M N I) (Another box from the six boxes will be
removed. Student will spin the wheel)
6) : RANGE, Ma’am!
(N E G R A) (All the six boxes will be removed.)
That’s awesome!

Let’s identify each set of ordered pair
