Environment Protection and Signages Making

The 3rd year College of Bachelor of Secondary Education of Our Lady of Pillar College
San Manuel, Incorporated embarked on an environment protection and signages making project.
As a participant in the Community Outreach Program in District 4 San Manuel, Isabela on May
6, 2023, I felt truly blessed to be a part of this meaningful endeavor.
On the first day of the program, our team focused on preparing the necessary materials,
including tarpaper for the event's theme. Being one of the organizers, I felt a sense of
responsibility and excitement. To my surprise, our target audience for the day was children.
Witnessing their enthusiasm and eagerness to participate in the signages making activity about
the environment brought me back to my own childhood. Even in the limited time we had, I was
able to enjoy and appreciate the simplicity and joy that the children exuded.
Participating in this outreach program was a first for me, and I couldn't help but feel a
sense of fulfillment. Throughout my 22 years of existence, I had never experienced such a
meaningful way of giving back to the community. Interacting and socializing with people and
children whom I had never met before was an enriching experience. It taught me valuable
lessons in socialization, patience, and the importance of listening.
To make the day even more enjoyable for the children, our team had prepared various
games, including hephep horray and stop dance. Seeing the happiness and delight in the eyes of
the children and other participants during these games was truly heartwarming. I couldn't resist
joining the kids in dancing because I wanted to share in their joy.
Aside from the fun and laughter, this outreach program taught me the significance of
environmental protection and the role we all play in preserving our surroundings. Through the
signages making activity, the children were able to express their creativity and understanding of
the importance of taking care of our environment. It was a reminder for all of us to be more
conscious of our actions and their impact on the world around us.
