Program Title
Background/ Rationale
standards in the Schools and Community Learning Centers. It configures the link
between the long terms goals of the Department of Education service in
conjunction with the long term national and regional goals expressed in the
National and Regional Education Development Plan and Sustainable
Development Goals.
Educational success and progress is, however, not limited only to the
attainment, as important as this is. It is also represented by the values,
attitudes, attributes and behaviors that are essential for young people, the
learners as the main client of the Department of Education, when they exit the
education system, to become effective citizens and to make a contribution to the
society as well as to ensure their own economic well-being.
Objectives
After the set learning and development activity entitled Capability Building
on Competency-Based Learning and Pedagogical Theories: Responding to the
Challenges and Needs of the 21st Century Teaching and Learning and Aligning
Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (CIA) Projects to Basic Education
Development Plan (BEDP) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
(SDG, the participants are expected to:
