I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of the formation of typhoons
and their movement within the PAR.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to demonstrate precautionary measures before,
during, and after a typhoon, including following advisories, storm signals,
and calls for evacuation given by government agencies in charge and
participate in activities that lessen the risks brought by typhoons.
Learners will be able to:
C. Learning 1. investigate the effects of storm surge on low-lying areas near the coast;
Competencies/Objectives 2. determine the distance inland that the storm surge will reach;
3. simulate the destructive force of a storm surge.
Then the teacher asks the students what they know about
storm surge
V. REFLECTION
The students seemed to be very interested in the topic since it is about their
safety in case of natural disaster.
