3rd QUARTERLY DISTRICT LEARNING ACTION CELL:


INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISION TOWARD LEARNING RECOVERY
(A Narrative Report)

The 3rd Quarterly District Learning Action Cell (LAC) session was held on October 21, 2022 (1:00 pm) at Lucena East 8
Elementary School Hall. It was started through registration of the participants. The management of learning was facilitated by the
SDO Lucena. The session started with an opening prayer and Makabayan song followed by the opening remarks of Mrs. Milagros
Lindain and rationale of Dr. Rey Mark Queaño. The attendees of this session were the Master Teachers, Principals,PSDS and EPS
of East District.

The first discussion was entitled “Ways Toward Learning Recovery” which was discussed by the EPS in Science- Dr.
Roselyn Golfo. She discussed the “PROJECT TOUCH” of the SDO Lucena. She also mentioned the Learning Recovery Plan
which focuses the recovery program that will address the learning gaps of the learners. According to her, the existing gaps should
be the focused on LRP S.Y. 2022-2023. She also encouraged the use of 7E’s in Daily Learning Plan considering the MELCS will
be utilized this school year. According to her Learning Remediation and Intervention should be implemented considering the
Project 4B’s, ELLN, E-LAMP, Mathematics Projects, etc.

The next session was discussed by Mrs. Milagros Lindain , Revisit of the Instructional Supervision. She started her topic
with a question. Then, the participants explained their prior knowledge regarding instructional supervision. She also discussed the
Different Styles of Supervision and Enhanced Instructional Supervisory Practices.

The curriculum education supervisor, Mrs. Josephine Natividad discussed the learning gaps and shared some solutions to
addressed the learning gaps through strategies Then she mentioned the three identified learning gaps which were:

 Problem on reading competences of the learners and mastery of MELCS (Literacy)


 Problem on numeracy and mastery of the most essential learning competence (Numeracy)
 Declined of Professional competence and commitment due to pandemic.

Also, she mentioned that the Quarterly Assessment should use multi-dimensional type of test. She also introduced the SOLO
Structure Assessment which will help the teacher to determine the needs of the learners and provide intervention.

Dr. Rey Mark Queaño discussed The Components of Instructional Supervisory Plan. Wherein he discussed the PPST and
PPSSH. He gave emphasis on the duties and responsibilities of master teachers and school heads. He also cited some examples
and strategies that will guide them in preparing instructional supervisory plan to promote growth in learning. He enumerated the
step procedures should be based from Test Result, NLT and Phil IRI, Reports of CO and IPCRF, ESAT and Individual
Professional Development Plan. Also, he explained the parts of KRA Objectives and let the participants to make an output and
present it.

Workshop Proper. The participants made an output and presented it.

The session was indeed a fruitful one to everyone and ended with a closing remarks of Mr. Ian Carlos Visconde,
principal of Lucena East 6 ES. It was emceed by Ms Christine C. Mayuga, the new oic of Lucena East 7 Annex.
