Disappointment, sadness, and confusion were on his face. Tears were flowing
from his eyes. It felt like a dream to him; he was hoping to wake up from this
nightmare by the sweet voices of his daughter and wife. He regretted not only

the loss of his beloved ones but also the fact that it was his mistake—a small
mistake that took the life of his angel-like daughter and caring wife.
Flashback:
"Daddy, Daddy!" All my office frustration and tiredness faded away when I saw
Angelica's smiling face. She came and hugged me.
"Oh, Angel, don't hug Daddy so tight. You know Daddy is not as strong as you,"
she giggled. Her soft giggles were music to my ears. My wife came and took the
office bag from me. I started playing with Angelica. After some time, my angel
told me that she had her dinner and she wanted to eat noodles, but her mother
was not allowing her to eat. She requested me to make noodles for her by
showing me her cute big eyes and a cute pout which I couldn't say no to. "Okay,
Angelica, but only for this time," she clapped with her two small hands. I went
into the kitchen, turned on the stove, and made noodles for her. After it was
done, I turned off the stove, but I didn't notice that it was not fully off. I closed
the kitchen door gave Angelica her noodles and asked her to sleep after eating
the noodles.
The next morning, I woke up late. I went to the office without waking up my
wife. After some time, my wife woke up, and Angelica did too. She was asking
for food. Her mother went into the kitchen, but she didn't notice the smell of
gas. Angelica also came with her. She made Angelica sit on the counter, picked
up the matchbox, and blew the match— "boom." The roof of the kitchen
exploded, and Angelica screamed, "Angelicaaaaaa!". Their neighbors called an
ambulance and informed me.
