II. Session Outline
Session Title:
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives:
a) read dialogue observing the quotations marks.
b) practice putting quotation marks around the words someone
speaks.
c) analyze how reading dialogue observing punctuation marks
can help a story.

Key Concepts:  Comics is a medium used to express ideas with images, often
combined with text or other visual information
III. Teaching Strategies

Activity: LET YOUR PUNCTUATION MOVES AND
SPEAKS!
Materials: Video Clip about Punctuation Marks

Procedure:
 First, allow the students to watch and observe the
short video clip.
 Next, after watching let them stand for body
conditioning. There will be punctuations marks to
be flashed on the screen and they will draw the
images through moving their body.
PRE-READING 10 mins  Then, mimic the expressions of every
punctuation mark they have observed in the
video.
Ask the following question before reading the
comic strips:
Do you like comics?
Do you play any video games based on comic
books?
Have you watched any anime?
Have you read any comics in English?

Procedure:

 Let students read the comic strips silently.

What do you observe in the comic strips you have
read?
Who are the characters in the comic strips?
What are the issues presented in the comic strips?

Activity: CoMAKE YOUR OWN COMIC STRIPS


Procedure:
 Divide the class into five groups. Each group will
create comic strips about the different issues.
