This term our senior students are keeping video journals as they create claymation movies and the junior children are recording their writing as podcasts. The senior students are emulating the way Peter Working on a Storyboard. Jackson (kinda one of my heroes ;-) is publishing video journals while he creates The Hobbit. It is also a great way for them to get used to using iMovie (our movie editing software) before they edit their real claymation movies. The juniors have also been using iMovie to record the stories they write with Carol. They have been creating illustrations in Kidpix then recording over the picture in iMovie. It is a great way for them to work on their expression while reading, no more robot reading unless of course the story is about a robot! :-)

Hunterville Inter-School Cross Country This event is on Friday 11 November please arrive in Hunterville by 12pm. All senior students have qualified for this competition so we will all be attending. Unfortunately I will not be able to provide transport on the day, but let me know if your child needs a ride as I am sure they will be able to go with another family. Let me know if you have any question. School Swimming Lessons We will be starting whole school swimming lessons in at the town pool again on Monday 14th November (the Monday after Pet Day). Our lessons will be in the afternoon, and we will need parent transport to help get the kids to town. Please let me know if you will be available, Thanks. Pukeokahu Community Guy Fawkes Night - Saturday 5th November, 6pm onwards One and all are invited to Cliffords Wool Shed for a fun filled evening of bonfires and fireworks. The big BBQ will be set up, so if everyone could bring some meat and a salad to share. The Hall will provide the fireworks. We look forward to seeing you all there.
