A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF MS. MONICA CYREL B. MENDEZ

AS THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN SECRETARY OF BARANGAY HILAAN, BONTOC,
SOUTHERN LEYTE.

WHEREAS, Section 7 of Republic Act 10742 also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Act
of 2015 requires the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, with the concurrence of the
majority of all SK Members, has the power to appoint from among the members of the
Katipunan ng Kabataan, a secretary and treasurer;

WHEREAS, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson Nicole Ann B. Celeste presented Ms.

Monica Cyrel B. Mendez to the council as the appointed Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary
of Barangay Hilaan, Bontoc, Southern Leyte;

WHEREAS, after a comprehensive discussion of her qualifications, they found out that the
appointee is credible and qualified for Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary as provided under
Section 10 of RA 10742;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Ms. Janna S. Oja and duly seconded by the whole body, be
it;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to confirm the appointment of Ms. Monica
Cyrel B. Mendez as the SK Secretary of Barangay Hilaan, Bontoc, Southern Leyte until the
end of term of the appointing authority unless sooner removed.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copy of the resolution to DILG Office for information and
file.
