SYLLABUS IN
ADVANCED EDUCATIONAL SOCIOLOGY
I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
A course dealing with the nature and the problems of educational sociology, social
function of the school, current social trend and issues as they affect educational and social
functions and responsibilities of educational leaders in various fields.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. Lead graduate school students to an understanding of the nature and the problem of
educational sociology.
2. Gain understanding on the function of the different social institutions, their current
trends and issues.
3. Identify and analyze the roles and functions of educational leaders in the society.

III. TIME ALLOTMENT : 54 Hours
