Narrative on
ONE-DAY CONVERGENCE OF TEACHERS FOR LEVELING OF
NEW RPMS-PPST TARGETS TO ACHIEVE TEACHER QUALITY

DepEd Memorandum No. 004 s. 2022 dated February 9, 2022 known as

Implementation of the Result-Based Performance Management System- Philippine
Professional Standards for Teachers for School Year 2021-2022, faithful to the
commitment DepEd to quality teaching, it being recognized as vital to the attainment of
desired learning outcome, the Department remains steadfast in the efforts to anchor its
human resources system and actions on well-defined professional standards for teachers’
quality. With the implementation of the BE-LCP, the sudden shift from face to face to remote
learning, and now the gradual implementation of the limited face to face classes, the tools,
forms and protocol stipulated herein are developed and modified to ensure that the
measures of performance this school year are appropriate, adaptive and relevant to capture
teachers’ actual performance in the context of the pandemic.
Anent, LSIS held its One-Day Convergence of Teachers for Leveling of New RPMS-
PPST Targets to Achieve Teacher Quality last April 1, 2022 at the Gr.11 classroom and
attended by 23, teaching staff, 1 Master Teacher and 1 School Head. The session onset at
9:15 in the morning. An opening prayer was through a multimedia presentation and singing
of the Philippine National Anthem as follows. Opening remarks was given by Ma’am Joanne
S. Espinosa, School Head. The session proper begun with Sir Gilbert L. Arguelles-T1 on the
Overview of the RPMS-PPST as the first speaker. The second talk was delivered by Mrs.
Guillerma O. Ballentos, MT-1. Next to take the stage was Miss Ana Maureen E. Cuarteron,
T-1, whom emphasized the definition between RPMS and PPST. She was succeeded by
Mrs. Catherine M. Laurente, T-3 that shares the Observable and Non-Observable indications
as context of the RPMS-PPST. And to summarize the session, Mrs. Liezel D. Intas, T-2
concluded the last session. The session ended at 3:37 in the afternoon.
