* The group leaders will present to the class what objects in the picture they got and what
measurements they got per sides

c. Discussion
 Our topic for today is all about Perimeter of Rectangle
 What is Perimeter? Do you have any idea what is perimeter?
* The teacher will flash to the TV the meaning of perimeter
* The teacher will show the 2 formulas in getting the perimeter of rectangle
* The teacher will show an example on the TV of a rectangle with measurement on its sides and will
compute the perimeter using 2 formulas
30 cm
P= s+s+s+s+s P= 2(L)+2(W)
10 cm 10 cm P= 30+30+10+10 P= 2(30)+2(10)
P= 80 cm P= 60+20
30 cm P= 80 cm
* The teacher will show a word problem and find the perimeter of the following
 A bookshelf has a length of 3 feet and a width of 2 feet. What is the perimeter of the bookshelf?

d. Application
* Present the activity to the students/pupils.
* Call a representatives per group and task them to compute the perimeter of the objects they measured
earlier

e. Generalization
* Ask the pupils:
- What is perimeter?
- How do we compute the perimeter of a rectangle?
- What are the formulas in computing the perimeter?
