Subject: Slow Progress at Available Work Fronts – Delays due to reasons out of control

Dear Sir,

1. Analysis based on approved Clause 8.3 Programme:

This delay is according to the clause 8.3 Programme without incorporating our notices to claim and claim final
submissions with Extension of Time attributed to various delays caused that are beyond the control of the
contractor. If these delays are considered, we are not delayed in any work.

A detailed analysis of the negative variance derived by using Clause 8.3 programme is shown below;

As can be seen from the above table, is from Waterworks delay, Drainage works delay and Underpass works
delay (Delay due to Design changes, waterworks relocation and Traffic Diversion approvals). Hence, most of

the total variance is from these three items. The contribution of all other areas to the negative variance is
negligible, which clearly indicates that we are performing the activities according to the plan.

2. Analysis based on submitted Claims:

as on 6th October 18, Planned Progress of works is 62.47% with a variance of +6.93%.

So it is clearly evident from the above details that wherever front is available without any hindrance,
contractor showed good progress and major reasons for the variance in the progress is beyond the control of
the contractor, for which the Extension of Time Claims have been submitted.

This is for your information and record.
