ABSTRACTION: Infinitives at Work!
 The students recognize the use of infinitives in sentences.

Infinitives are the “to” form of the verb. The infinitive form of “learn” is “to
learn.”

 Sample sentences will be given leading to the discussion of the different


functions of an infinitive in a sentence as presented in the PowerPoint.
