ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
March 9, 2023
I. Rationale:
An earthquake drill is one set of simulated emergency circumstances
designed to test the ability of school members to make the most appropriate
decisions to ensure their safety. The school members should understand the
emergency response plan sufficiently to react appropriately during the drill.
In connection to these ideas, the Minesite Elementary School teachers
together with the pupils, conducted the 1st Quarter Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.
This drill provides an overview of school earthquake preparedness and provide
resources for use in incorporating earthquakes into our overall emergency plans.
They executed the DROP, COVER, and HOLD during the said activity. DROP
means drop down onto your hands and knees immediately. This position protects
you from falling but still allows you to move if necessary. COVER means cover
your head and neck (and your entire body if possible) underneath a sturdy table or
desk.
II. Objectives:
At the end of the session of this earthquake drill, the participants should
be able to:
1. Know what to do before, during and after an earthquake.
2. Identifies the things that should be in the emergency bag.
