 Recognize own limitation and possibilities.

I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
a. Define limitation and transcendence .
b. Recognize own limitation and possibilities
c. Give value to God’s given life.

II. SUBJECT MATTER : Limitation and Transcendence

III. PROCEDURES

A. PRELIMINARIES:
 Greetings
 Brief Energizer
 Checking of Attendance

REVIEW :
 What is human person?
 What are the characteristics traits that we posses that make us unique from other
creatures?

MOTIVATION :
Group the class into three. Let them pick one picture.

• Group 1 – Superhero
• Group 2 - Dog
• Group 3- Cellphone.

• Guide Questions:
1. Say something about the picture by describing it.
2. What do you think are the significant of their existence ?
3. How are they similar or different from human person?

B.PRESENTATION OF THE NEW LESSON

1. Activity: “ My Limitation”
 Let the student list down at least 10 limitation or weaknesses that they have as
a human person.
 Ask: What brought about your own personal limitation?

Lesson Proper:

This lesson will discuss human being’s weakness and imperfections- a persons

Limitation and how he could surpass these retrain in his being.

 Limitation- is something that controls how much of something is possible or


allowed.
o Three Categories of Limitation
1. Facticity – Things in our lives that are already given and did not
choose them.
2. Spatial- temporal – Being limited due to our temporal being
3. Body as our Intermediary – About having our body that links us to

 Transcendence – Is the ability to surpass our limits.

3. ABSTRACTION:

Each individual carries within himself or herself the possibilities of transcending his/ her limits.

Most of our limits often involve facing a challenge or overcoming our weaknesses. The essence of
transcendence is to acknowledge our limitation, identify our possibilities for development and change
ourselves for the better.

Value Integration:

We should appreciate everything that we have because someone is wishing to have it. As

Shakespeare said: I cried when I had no shoes, until I met a man without a leg.
