I. RATIONALE:

Pursuant to Provincial Health Office of Compostela Valley’s commitment and advocacy to

promote responsible sexual behavior and effective life skills among adolescents in
coordination with the Department of Health, Kao National High School in partnership with ESP
Department will conduct a school-based Peer Facilitators’ training on September 21, 2023.

In order to have a functional and effective Teen Center, the school will train Peer Facilitators
to assist their Peer’s need. Peer Facilitators must be trained in assisting and helping their
peers. Moreover, they must be equipped with proper training for them to respond
appropriately in any situations. They are expected to be fair and trustworthy. Further, teen
facilitators must know their roles in our Teen Center.

 This activity is important in order for the teen center becomes efficiently operational.
In this activity, the Peer Educators who are the prime movers of the teen center
programs and initiatives are expected to be well-trained and equipped in responding
to the call of their duties. This activity is essentially needed in running the program of
the said office.

A.6. Objective:

This one-day training aims to provide appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitude for
the participants to be able to:

1. Discuss the functions of Teen Center;

2. Identify their roles in peer facilitation and running the Teen Center’s Advocacies;
3. Demonstrate skills and expertise in resolving/mitigating teen issues and
concerns.

Trained Peer Educators

A.8. Methodology:

The activity will be facilitated by the teen advocates (Teen Center Focal, Guidance-
designate, and ESP Coordinator) in face to face training workshop.

PowerPoint presentations, LED TV, manila papers, markers and activity sheets
