Space Invaders!
A tall man took us into a dark room. He gave each of us a laser and said, “Beat the aliens – or it’s the end of the
world!” Then, he left and closed the door.
Hi everyone! Tara here. Don’t worry, the humans won in the end! Of course, the aliens were also humans – I’m
talking about a laser tag game! My friends and I went to one at the weekend and we had an amazing time!
Laser tag is a team game you can play indoors or outdoors. All the players carry a laser and wear vests or helmets
with flashing lights, called ‘targets’, on them. You have to shoot your laser and hit the other team’s targets. Every
time you hit a target, your team gets a point. The team with the most points wins.
In the beginning, we got a little bit lost because it was very dark, and the aliens almost won the game because
they tagged a lot of us, including me. But then, Holly helped us make a plan and we played much better after that.
In fact, our team won!
It was our first time playing laser tag, so we all felt really happy to be the winning team. Now, we’re hooked! Holly
booked another game for her birthday next weekend – on a spaceship this time!
