Distinguished members representing the scholarship selection,

I am pleased to address you by sending this correspondence introducing myself, my name is Jimena
Pinedo Saravia, student and member of the research association of medical students at my
university and I want to express my deep interest in becoming one of the select students who are
part of this team.

My passion for Medicine and the vocation of service began at a very early age, since I was a child it
was cultivated thanks to experiences lived in the hospital with my mother, who worked as a nurse,
who sometimes, due to lack of personnel at home, used to take me with her to pass her guards. In
them I witnessed how people who came to the hospital, suffering from illnesses and ailments, found
in the doctors, and in general the entire team, a source of hope for the cure of their illness. Seeing
how, thanks to the dedication and care of these professionals, people recovered their health and
with it their joy, deeply inspired me to follow in the footsteps of those who dedicate their lives to
alleviating people's sufferings.

Those experiences, plus my vocation to help, have been a fundamental pillar in my life. I have been
fortunate to participate in various community service activities and volunteering in international
programs, which made me experience first-hand the gratification of providing support and care to
people who need it most, reinforcing my commitment to dedicate my life to medicine. . And that is
why I am currently studying my 4th year of medicine, acquiring all the knowledge possible to
become an exemplary doctor.

One of my greatest wishes is to learn everything I can during this program, an excellent opportunity
to deepen my knowledge, enhance and discover greater skills to later develop as a competent
professional, and in this way positively influence my society and environment. I am committed to
making the most of this opportunity, not only for my own personal and professional growth, but
also to give back to the community by teaching my colleagues everything I have learned,
contributing to their growth and improvement of this country.

I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration, and I look forward to the opportunity to study
