26 The Opening Prayer was led by Mr. Magos.

28 At 09:27 A.M., Mr. Magos recalled the minutes of the meeting last board meeting. The
29 minutes stood approved as read.

31 Mr. Magos also requested the board to pray for Mr. Lorence Sanchez and introduced Mr.
32 Joniel Plana as the new member of SETA Steering Committee.

34 Mr. Magos then presented to the Board the agenda of the meeting.

38 At 9:50 A.M., Mr. Cabaylo reported to the board the following:

46 Evaluation of the 2nd General Assembly

48 Mr. Magos presented the results of the evaluation form coming from twenty-six (26)
49 respondents who were comprised of parents/guardians, guests, and seminarians.

51 Generally, the commendations and the recommendations were the following:

53 Commendations
54 a. Overnight stay of parents
55 b. Good speaker but not appealing to the elderly audience
56 c. The event was well-prepared.

58 Recommendations
59 a. Low attendance of parents
60 b. Lower registration fee for the assembly
61 c. Unclear instructions with regard to the overnight stay.
62 d. More time for transitions and sharings, i.e. heart to heart synthesis.
63 e. Improvement of food quality

65 Mrs. Conception commented concerning the improvement of food quality: It would entail
66 adding the cost or amount of the food budget. Thus, it would counter the suggestion to
67 lower the registration fee. In addition, she asked to clarify the relationship between the
68 cost for the food and the registration fee.

70 Mr. Holanday and Mrs. Conception asked the board to clarify the rules of the seminary for
71 the overnight stay during the 2nd General Assembly, particularly those who would be
72 allowed to sleep in the rooms of the seminarians. The emphasis was given to the female
73 siblings who expressed their desire for an overnight stay during the aforementioned
74 assembly.

76 Mr. Magos clarified that he has sent letters to the departments that contained the
77 permission allowing the immediate family members to stay in the rooms of the
78 seminarians.

102 Mrs. Rowena reiterated the concern about the permission of allowing the female siblings
103 for the overnight stay during the Second Assembly.

105 Fr. Martin said that he would clarify the matter to the next formators’ meeting. He
106 suggested that to ensure and to verify that the visitors were immediate family members, a
107 seminarian might submit a family picture. Also, Fr. Martin apologized for some
108 inconveniences last assembly and resolved to have a clearer instruction for the overnight
109 stay.

111 On the Presider for the Mass of the Family Day

113 The board nominated the following to be the possible presiders for the Eucharistic
114 celebration for the upcoming Family Day:
115 1. Bishop Honesto Ongtioco or any other bishop
116 2. Fr. Ramon Merino

120 On the Raffle Tickets

122 Mr. Corado presented the mechanics for the raffle tickets for the upcoming Third General
123 Assembly:
124 1. Ten (10) tickets per booklet
125 2. Every family has received three (3) booklets with the total of thirty (30) raffle
126 tickets
127 3. Every ticket is worth one hundred pesos (100) with the total of three thousand
128 pesos (3,000)
129 4. Additional tickets would be provided upon the request of the family.

131 Mr. Corado reminded the board that the collection of the raffle tickets would be on 18th of
132 February at the Visitor’s Parlor of the Main Building.

134 Mrs. Labastida asked whether unsold tickets would be submitted or not.

135 Mr. Corado explained that it would be kept by the Assistant treasurers for safekeeping.

137 Mrs. Labastida encouraged the board to have an extra effort at selling the raffle tickets.

139 Fr. Martin encouraged the seminarians to help their parents in selling the raffle tickets.
140 They might sell them in their apostolate areas.

142 Mr. Magos suggested to have a separated desks for the unsold tickets and the sold tickets.

144 Mr. Martin emphasized that unreturned tickets were considered sold. Thus, the treasurers
145 should make sure that all returned and unreturned tickets were monitored in a table.

147 Fr. Martin asked whether the prizes would be taken from the revenue of the raffle tickets.

149 Mr. Holanday answered that solicitation letters would be given to the sponsors to answer
150 the amount of the prizes.

152 Mr. Corado asked the board if it could allow adding four thousand pesos (4,000) to
153 procure the laptop for the second prize that amounted to twenty thousand pesos (20,000).
154 He added that lessening the quality of the laptop would affect the integrity of the SETA
155 raffle.

157 Fr. Martin asked the Assistant Treasurers to look for a laptop worth sixteenth thousand
158 pesos to twenty thousand pesos (16,000-20,000).

160 All members of the board agreed to increase the price for the laptop.

162 Fr. Martin reminded the treasurers to give raffle tickets to priest-formators.

164 Flu Vaccines

166 Mr. Magos said that vaccination dates were on pending. But it was needed on Monday
167 (January 15, 2024) to get the payment for the flu vaccines. In one (1) vial, there were ten
168 (10) persons who could be vaccinated.

170 Mr. Holanday said that he would bring two (2) nurses during the vaccination.

175 Mr. Cabaylo said that the shirt would be discussed by the Ways and Means Committee.

177 Fr. Martin suggested to make the template of the polo-shirt sold by the Merchandise
178 Committee of the Discipleship Stage. He also recommended to ask the LMI brothers for the
179 supplier of their shirts.

181 The board suggested black and navy-blue colors for the shirt. There were seven (7) votes
182 for the navy blue whereas six (6) votes for the black.
183 Mr. Cabaylo said that we would propose the shirt samples soon.

185 Formators Concern

187 Fr. Martin informed the board that Mr. Lorence Sanchez would no longer be with us. He
188 assured the board that the decision underwent discernment and process. Thus, he asked
189 to pray for him and for the seminarians. In addition, he informed that Mr. Plana was asked
190 to assist the three (3) seminarians to help the SETA board.

192 Fr. Martin said that isolated cases of flu continued to persist in the seminary. Thus, some
193 seminarians opted to heal at home.

195 Fr. Martin reminded the board that graduation date would be set on March 23, 2024 prior
196 to Palm Sunday.
