Community Development Plan

Project Title:
Brgy. Tapao-Tigue Hi-Way Clean-up Drive & Beautification
Program

Target Community or Beneficiaries:

Brgy Tapao-Tigue, Currimao

Community Background:
With a rising number of tourists visiting the municipality of Currimao.
Tapao-Tigue being the first barangay to welcome visitors coming from the
north at Paoay area, it is only fitting and proper to keep the community clean
especially the roadside to give the visitors a good impression and pay a visit
again in the near future.
Though road constructions & repairs have been conducted in the past,
and at present, the installation of street lights, it is noticeable that along the
roadsides are some clutters, dump of sands, growing weeds, and the absence
of trash bins.
This project intends to address these issues thru clean-up drive and
beautification. Recovered PET bottles and the likes from the activity and
collected at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) will be recycled into some
creative designs that can be displayed to add to the visual enticement while
traversing across the vicinity of Brgy. Tapao-Tigue.
Steel drums are also intended to be placed at strategic areas along the
roadsides to serve as trash bins. They are also to be painted with vibrant colors
to complement with the clean-up drive.

General Objectives:
The initiative of this plan is not only to lift the image of the community
but hoping to help promote further tourism industry in the locality. Thru this,
participants will be able to recognize the benefit of the project. They are
expected to explain to anyone who would ask the importance of what they
have been into. By demonstrating their tasks well, it is truly understood that
they want to establish not only to themselves but to commit to the group and
to the goal. With all of this, they will have the ingenuity to develop ideas
which could lead to new plans and inspire other non-governmental
organizations to emulate this move.
Specific Objectives:
Establish safe, clean and viable attractive roadways, to enhance and
promote participation among Brgy. officials and constituents. This activity
aims to impart for those involved that keeping cleanliness can have a reward
not by monetary nor in any material way but by self-fulfillment. Organizers
seeks to finish the project within the given time frame.
