• To conserve top soil

• Preventing the dumping of fly ash in Ash
Ponds.
• Restricting the top soil excavation for brick
manufacture with in a radius of 50 Kms.
• Developing building materials such as
bricks & blocks.
UTILISATION OF FLY ASH BY
THERMAL PLANTS

• Notification insists the TPs to submit

action plan for full utilization of fly ash
with in the period of 9 years from the
Publication of notification.
• Not covered by P.C.Bs directions -

with a cost of 6.76 Crores of 500T
capacity each.
• Issue of Ash free of cost.
• Loading facility at Ash Pond who are
willing to take Pond Ash.
MULTI PURPOSE BENEFITS
OF FLY ASH

• Cement Industry
• Agriculture sector
• Mine stowing
• Other areas such as Road constructions
and embankments.
• Eco – friendly.
BRICKS PRODUCTION
BY FAL-G TECHNOLOGY

Lime -- 15 – 20 %
Gypsum -- 5 – 10 %

• The KTPS/V-Stage has commissioned

FAL-G Brick Plant with installed capacity of
10,000 Bricks/Day.
Advantages

• High quality and durability

• High strength – 85 to 250 Kg/Cm2
• Uniform shape – Less mortar
• Machine made – Pressure moulding.
• No burning - No emissions
• Better insulation.
Disadvantages of
Conventional bricks
• Uneven quality & less durable.
• Lower strength
• Uneven shape – more mortar
• Hand pressed – uneven strength
• Kiln burning – emissions.
FLY ASH FOR AGRICULTURE

• Higher yields and improved pest resistance.

• Improves soil texture
• Improves water holding capacity & drainage
• Improves soil aeration.
• Provides macronutrients like K, P, Ca etc.
• Provides micronutrients like Fe, Zn, Cu. Etc.
