 MEASURES OF
DISPERSION/VARIABILITY

value. It is also the simplest measure of variability.

 MEAN DEVIATION
Mean deviation is gives better
approximation than the range. The
range is not suitable measure for
variability because its value can
fluctuate greatly even with a change in
just a single value, either the highest or
the lowest.
