Shipping Services

The following shipping services are available to the sellers:


Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) - Simply send your products to an Amazon fulfilment center. Amazon will
store your inventory, pick, pack and ship your orders across India and provide customer service

Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) – Seller will store inventory & will pack and get the product shipped to
customer. For Shipping product either of below options will be eligible based on shipping settings opted by seller

1. Easy Ship (ES) – Under Easy Ship, Amazon provides (based on the pincode and product eligibility) an end
to end delivery service for sellers. All you need to do is keep your product packed and ready and Amazon
will manage the logistics and provide customer service for your orders

2. Self Ship – You can also ship your orders through third party logistics.

What Is Amazon Easy Ship?

A service whereby orders are picked up from the seller’s location by an Amazon Logistics associate and delivered to
the buyers’ location with minimal effort from sellers.

Eligibility criteria to avail Easy ship

 The maximum supported package dimensions are 70cm x 70cm x 45cm and weight up to
18kgs (18000gms)

 Pickup pin code should be covered by Amazon for availing Easy Ship service. Check your pin
code availability here

 The product should pass Amazon’s HAZMAT rev

Types of Orders (Easy Ship and Self Ship)

1. Easy Ship – Schedule pickup: This option appears when the pin code of the buyer is covered by Amazon
Easy Ship and the order is eligible for Easy ship pickup

2. Self Ship – Confirm shipment: This option appears when the pin code of the buyer is not covered by
Amazon Easy Ship, package weight and dimensions are above threshold value the order should be self shipped
by third party courier service

Best Practices for Easy Ship
Pickups
• Provide complete pickup address (with a landmark). Also, provide a valid contact number so that the associate can
contact you if he is unable to locate your address.

• Schedule Pickups only for the packages that will be ready for handover by the scheduled slot.

• Keep your packages ready before the start of the pickup slot. For example, if you have selected is 10AM-1PM
pickup slot, the packages have to be ready by 10AM.

• Do not ask the pickup associate to wait at your location. The associate has to visit multiple sellers in limited time
and hence he has been instructed not to wait at any location.

• Use good quality printer/ink to ensure a clear printout of the shipping label and paste it on top of the package. Do
not re-size or compress the size of the shipping label.

• If you are rescheduling pickup for any order from seller account, then you need to discard the old shipping label
and re-print the new shipping label which is generated after scheduling.

 Log in to your Amazon Seller Account and find the order – Orders  Manage
Orders
 Check the respective order details -
 Print your packing slip & prepare your shipment
 In case of Self Ship orders it will display ‘Confirm the Shipment’ button –click on this  Enter
tracking information received from courier partner, this will be sent to the buyer’
 In case of Easy Ship orders it will display ‘Schedule Pickup’ – click on this  enter the product
weight & applicable tax rate  Also select the feasible pickup schedule from the drop-down option
 Handover the shipment to Amazon representative when he comes for pickup

 Done! Your order is processed


How to Reschedule/Cancel
Easy Ship Pickup?
On Manage Orders page, click on Reschedule pickup button for the orders you want to re-schedule.
Pickups rescheduled by Sellers will require new label to be printed. In case of a pickup miss Amazon
will automatically reschedule the pickup to next day same slot.

Orders cancelled by Buyers Orders cancelled by Sellers

 Buyer can contact Amazon Customer Support and Sellers will be charged 8.5% of the value of items in

How to manage Easy Ship
orders returns?
Manage Returns

• Return requests will be automatically authorized for Easy Ship orders which comes under Amazon
Runway return policy.

• For the order which are not covered under the policy, sellers are required to Authorize or Cancel
the return request

• Check for category wise return policy on the help portal

• While return if the buyer’s pin code is covered by Amazon, buyer will be eligible for Return pickup,
else buyer will self ship the product using third party carrier. Shipping charges paid by the buyer on
self ship returns will be refunded by Amazon in the form of a gift card (*conditions apply)

• Easy Ship doesn’t charge shipping fee for customer returns supported by Amazon.

In case of any returns, it will be displayed here (in case you have set settings to authorize the return). The
Seller can deduct partial amount if the product is damaged. Also one side shipping charges (incurred while
sending product to buyer) if he wants. Amazon bears the return shipping charge. However, the buyer can
claim A-Z claim if higher amount is deducted & that affects the seller rating. Seller can get in touch with
Buyer & decide to come to a mutual amount of refund.

Select the Reason for refund, acknowledge and click on Submit 40
Manage Refunds

 Refunds will be automatically issued to buyers at the time of return pickup for orders less than INR 5000
and covered under Runway Program
 If buyer has not received a refund for orders not covered under Runway Program, follow the steps shown
in previous ‘Manage Returns’ slide
 Ensure that you have communicated and finalized the refund amount with the buyer before doing a Partial
Refund.
 Once refund is initiated it can take up to 7-10 business days to reflect in buyer's bank account.

• Also if shipping is done via seller from his own courier partner, shipping cost will not be deducted & as
per above example in this case seller will receive (Rs. 240 – Rs. 35) = Rs. 205. Seller will then have to
deduct his actual shipping cost from this amount and check his profitability vis-à-vis the cost price

• Also seller can charge higher shipping amount from the buyer as per actual cost (in above case Rs. 65
instead of Rs, 40), however if the buyer sees high shipping cost while buying the product – he may not be
willing to buy the product

 Referral Fee - For all products, a percentage of the total sales price that is paid by the buyer (including
the item price and any shipping or gift-wrap charges) is deducted as a referral fee.

 Closing fees - You pay a fixed closing fee based on the item price that is paid by the buyer (including any
shipping or gift-wrap charges)

 Cancellation Charge - You will be charged 8.5% of the value of items in an order as Cancellation Charge
for seller-fulfilled orders that are cancelled under the following scenarios:
 Order is cancelled by seller for any reason other than buyer request (Only cancellations requested
by buyers through Amazon.in website are considered buyer-requested cancellations and will be
exempt from Cancellation Charge).
 Order is cancelled automatically by Amazon because the seller has not shipped and confirmed
shipping of the order within 48 hours of Estimated Ship Date.

Note: All fees are exclusive of 15% Service Tax (including the Swachh Bharat Cess). To ensure that you are
charged the correct referral fee, you will need to categorize your items as precisely as possible when you
list them on the website. Categorization of products is subject to Amazon’s sole discretion.

• Amazon deposits your payments directly in your bank account every week

• The first cycle may be little longer than 7 days since the account is new &
amazon team check for ‘account performance’. Also it can be delayed if the
account has been inactive for some time

• Amazon reserves some part of the pay-out as reserve balance in the first week of
payment cycle. This amount is disbursed in the next cycle. Hence you receive
complete payment in full in 15 days cycle

To set your listings to Inactive or Active, complete the following steps.

1.From the Seller Account Information page, in the Listings Status section, click Going on a vacation?
2.Select one of the following options:
 Active: All of your listings will reappear on Amazon.in product detail pages and search results within
one hour
 Inactive: Removes all of your listings from Amazon.in product detail pages and search results within
one hour

3.When you are finished, click Save.

Seller should regularly check there account health here. It tracks seller performance w.r.t Order defect rate,
Late dispatch rate, cancellation rate, customer complaints, feedback & claims & more

The performance should be within the target rate, else it might lead to account go on hold or suspension (if
rate is too high & risky)

Seller should regularly check the feedback received from buyers here.

Seller should try to resolve buyers concern by getting in touch with them & in turn ask them further to
improve their feedback comments if they are satisfied with your resolution.
Messages & Notifications
Buyer Seller Messages

Seller receives the notification on his mobile if he receives any messages from buyer. Also seller can check
& reply to the message here on the seller central. Seller should reply to the messages as soon as possible
so that it does not affect the account health
Performance Notification

Seller receives performance notification here if the account health is impacted or seller has cloned
unauthorized brand listing of other seller – which leads to brand infringement or in case of any other
account related issues

Seller should try to try to resolve the concerns as soon as possible.
