Objectives:

× Explain how the different organ

systems work together
× Express the importance of learning
how the organ system work together in
our daily activities
× Answer the given activity

How do the
organ system
work
together

3
Word hunt
× Procedure: Find and circle the word
related to the function of the organ
system by using color ORANGE in the
word search grid. Look for them in all
directions including backwards and
diagonally.

4
Description (Transitory
Statement)
× The motivational activity helps the
students to identify some related words to
the functions of some organs of the
human body system. It helps them have
an idea what body system work together
in order for us to do activities in our daily
lives.

Let’s proceed!

6
Skeletal system
× It provides the structural framework
for the body and protects internal
organs such as the heart, lungs and
brain.

7
× It gives the body much-needed support. It
makes body movement possible through
the muscles attached to them.
× It produces blood cells and stores minerals
like calcium.

8
9
Muscular system
× It provides movement, support, and heat
production.

10
11
12
integumentary system
× It acts as a barrier from the outside environment.
× It provides protection from injury and fluid loss
and provides physical defense against infection by
microorganisms
× It is involved in temperature control

13
14
Digestive system
× It processes foods and absorbs nutrients,
minerals, vitamins, and water.

15
16
respiratory system
× It delivers air to sites where gas exchange
can occur. The pathway of air start in the
nose or mouth and ends in the alveoli
located in the lungs.

17
18
circulatory system
× It transports oxygen, nutrients, and
other substances to the cells and
transports wastes, carbon dioxide,
and other substances away from the
cells; it can also help stabilize body
temperature.

19
Nervous system
× It collects, transfers, and
processes information and
directs short-term change
in other organ systems.

20
Just as the organs in an organ
system work together to
accomplish their task, so the
different organ systems also
cooperate to keep the body
running.
21
× For example, the respiratory system and
the circulatory system work closely
together to deliver oxygen to cells and to
get rid of the carbon dioxide the cells
produce. The circulatory system picks up
oxygen in the lungs and drops it off in the
tissues, then performs the reverse service
for carbon dioxide.

22
× The lungs expel the carbon dioxide
and bring in new oxygen-containing
air. Only when both systems are
working together can oxygen and
carbon dioxide be successfully
exchanged between cells and
environment.

23
× There are many other examples of this
cooperation in your body. For instance, the
blood in your circulatory system has to
receive nutrients from your digestive system
and undergo filtration in your kidneys, or it
wouldn't be able to sustain the cells of your
body and remove the wastes they produce.

24
Connect to your own life:
What’s something Can you relate this to
interesting you something in your
learned today? own life?
(How is it similar,
different, or helpful
to events in your life?)

25
Description (Transitory
Statement)
× The interaction focuses about how the
different human body system works
together. In this topic the students can
observe how their different body
system works.

it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

remember
× We are not being instructed to all be exactly alike in
every behavior and opinion. We will inevitably have
matters of differing opinions. Rather, we have to adjust to
each other in a way that produces pleasantness and order.
This requires a level of mutual submission: a willingness
to make different choices that will allow us to get along
together.
