Surat Al-Hujurat (1 - 18)

‫ ہللا اور اس کے رسول صلی ہللا علیہ وسلم کے آگے نہ بڑھو بلکہ ہللا سے‬،‫ے لوگو جو ایمان الئے ہو‬
‫ڈرو۔ بے شک ہللا سننے واال اور جاننے واال ہے۔‬

• Meaning:
O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger but fear Allah . Indeed, Allah is Hearing and
Knowing.

‫ اپنی آوازوں کو نبی کی آواز سے بلند نہ کرو اور نہ ہی ان کے سامنے‬،‫اے لوگو جو ایمان الئے ہو‬
‫ ایسا نہ ہو کہ‬،‫اونچی آواز میں بولو جس طرح تم میں سے بعض دوسروں کے سامنے بلند کرتے ہیں‬
‫تمہارے اعمال ضائع ہو جائیں اور تمہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو۔‬
• Meaning:
O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the
loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.
 ‫ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے‬،‫بے شک وہ لوگ جو ہللا کے رسول کے سامنے اپنی آوازیں پست رکھتے ہیں‬
‫دلوں کو ہللا نے تقوٰی کے لیے آزمایا ہے۔ ان کے لیے بخشش اور اجر عظیم ہے۔‬

• Meaning:
Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For
them is forgiveness and great reward.

‫درحقیقت جو لوگ آپ کو ایوانوں کے پیچھے سے پکارتے ہیں ان میں سے اکثر عقل سے کام نہیں‬
‫لیتے۔‬
• Meaning:
Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers - most of them do not use reason.

‫اور اگر وہ صبر کرتے یہاں تک کہ آپ ان کے پاس آتے تو یہ ان کے لیے بہتر تھا۔ لیکن ہللا بخشنے‬
‫واال اور رحم کرنے واال ہے۔‬

• Meaning:
And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
 ‫ کہیں‬،‫ اگر تمہارے پاس کوئی فاسق خبر لے کر آئے تو تحقیق کر لیا کرو‬،‫اے لوگو جو ایمان الئے ہو‬
‫ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم نادانی میں کسی قوم کو نقصان پہنچا بیٹھو اور اپنے کیے پر پشیمان ہو جاؤ۔‬

• Meaning:
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and
become, over what you have done, regretful.

‫اور جان لو کہ تم میں ہللا کے رسول ہیں۔ اگر وہ بہت سے معامالت میں تمہاری بات مان لے تو تم مشکل‬
‫ لیکن ہللا نے تمہارے لیے ایمان کو محبوب بنا دیا ہے اور اسے تمہارے دلوں میں‬،‫میں پڑ جاؤ گے‬
‫ سرکشی اور نافرمانی کو تمہارے لیے ناپسندیدہ بنا دیا ہے۔ وہی لوگ ہیں جو‬،‫خوشنما بنا دیا ہے اور کفر‬
‫ہدایت یافتہ ہیں۔‬

• Meaning:
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah . If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has
endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those
are the [rightly] guided.
 ‫یہ ہللا کا فضل اور احسان ہے۔ اور ہللا جاننے واال اور حکمت واال ہے۔‬
• Meaning:
[It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

‫اور اگر مومنین کے دو گروہ آپس میں لڑ پڑیں تو دونوں کے درمیان صلح کرا دو۔ لیکن اگر ان میں سے‬
‫ایک دوسرے پر ظلم کرے تو ظلم کرنے والے سے لڑو یہاں تک کہ وہ ہللا کے حکم کی طرف لوٹ‬
‫آئے۔ اور اگر وہ واپس آجائے تو ان کے درمیان عدل کے ساتھ صلح کرا دو اور عدل سے کام لو۔ بے‬
‫شک ہللا انصاف کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے۔‬
• Meaning:
And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then
fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah . And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice
and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
 ‫ لٰہ ذا اپنے بھائیوں کے درمیان صلح کرا دو۔ اور ہللا سے ڈرو تاکہ تم پر رحم‬،‫مومن تو بھائی بھائی ہیں‬
‫کیا جائے۔‬
• Meaning:
The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.

‫ کوئی قوم دوسرے لوگوں کا مذاق نہ اڑائے۔ شاید وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں۔ اور‬،‫اے لوگو جو ایمان الئے ہو‬
‫نہ ہی عورتیں [دوسری] عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں۔ شاید وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں۔ اور ایک دوسرے کو برا‬
‫بھال نہ کہو اور ایک دوسرے کو برے ناموں سے نہ پکارو۔ ایمان کے بعد نافرمانی کا نام ہے۔ اور جو‬
‫توبہ نہ کرے تو وہی ظالم ہیں۔‬

• Meaning:
O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other]
women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched
is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
 ‫ بہت زیادہ گمان سے بچو۔ درحقیقت کچھ گمان گناہ ہے۔ اور نہ جاسوسی‬،‫اے لوگو جو ایمان الئے ہو‬
‫کرو اور نہ ایک دوسرے کی غیبت کرو۔ کیا تم میں سے کوئی یہ پسند کرے گا کہ اپنے بھائی کے‬
‫مرنے پر اس کا گوشت کھائے؟ آپ اس سے نفرت کریں گے۔ اور ہللا سے ڈرو۔ بے شک ہللا توبہ قبول‬
‫کرنے واال اور رحم کرنے واال ہے۔‬
• Meaning:
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would
one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and
Merciful.

‫اے لوگو بیشک ہم نے تمہیں ایک مرد اور عورت سے پیدا کیا ہے اور تمہیں قومیں اور قبیلے بنائے ہیں‬
‫تاکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو پہچانو۔ بے شک ہللا کے نزدیک تم میں سب سے زیادہ عزت واال وہ ہے جو تم‬
‫میں سب سے زیادہ پرہیزگار ہے۔ بے شک ہللا جاننے واال اور باخبر ہے‬

• Meaning:
O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the
most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
 ‫اعرابی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لے آئے۔ کہہ دو کہ تم ابھی تک ایمان نہیں الئے بلکہ کہو کہ ہم نے‬
‫فرمانبرداری اختیار کی ہے کیونکہ ایمان ابھی تمہارے دلوں میں داخل نہیں ہوا ہے اور اگر تم ہللا اور‬
‫اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کرو گے تو وہ تمہیں تمہارے اعمال سے محروم نہیں کرے گا۔ بے شک ہللا‬
‫بخشنے واال مہربان ہے‬
• Meaning:
The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered
your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and
Merciful."

‫مومن تو وہ ہیں جو ہللا اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان الئے اور پھر شک نہ کیا بلکہ ہللا کی راہ میں اپنے‬
‫مال اور جان سے جہاد کیا۔ وہی ہیں جو سچے ہیں۔‬

• Meaning:
The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their
lives in the cause of Allah . It is those who are the truthful.
 ‫کہو کیا تم ہللا کو اپنے دین سے واقف کرو گے حاالنکہ ہللا جانتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو‬
‫کچھ زمین میں ہے اور ہللا ہر چیز کو جانتا ہے۔‬
• Meaning:
Say, "Would you acquaint Allah with your religion while Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is
Knowing of all things?"

‫یہ آپ پر احسان سمجھتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے اسالم قبول کر لیا ہے۔ کہہ دو کہ تم اپنے اسالم کو مجھ پر‬
‫ اگر‬،‫ بلکہ ہللا نے تم پر احسان کیا ہے کہ اس نے تمہیں ایمان کی طرف ہدایت کی ہے‬،‫احسان نہ سمجھو‬
‫تم سچے ہو۔‬
• Meaning
They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor
upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful."

‫بے شک ہللا آسمانوں اور زمین کے غیب کو جانتا ہے۔ اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو ہللا اسے‬
‫دیکھ رہا ہے۔‬
• Meaning:
Indeed, Allah knows the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.
