#6 Benjamin Franklin

Interestingly enough, Benjamin Franklin was the tenth child of a soap maker. He father intended for him to be a clergyman. However, he was only able to afford for Benjamin to go to school for one year and clergy had to go to school for several years. Because of his love for books and reading he was tutored by one of his older brothers who was a printer. Later on in his life, he ran away from his family and eventually made his way to America from London. He then went on to printing his own newspaper, The New England Gazette. He was also duly noted as a famous inventor and one of his discoveries was electricity. He was also on the Constitutional Congress which was a response to the taxes enforced by Britain. Later on he was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. When he died his funeral was attended by 20,000 people.
