LETTERS:

THE MOTHER OF MY CHILDREN!

The mother of my children is
A very special gal.
Shes not just my sweetheart
Or my wife....But shes my pal.
My joy in time of sorrow,
My strength when I am weak.
Shes the one who listens,
When I desire to speak.
She encourages my children
When they have a special need.
And when they feel theyre all bound up
Shes there to see theyre freed.
The many things that she supplies
Cant come from any other.
For all those things that she can give
Can only come from MOTHER.

TID BITS MONTHLY

REPORT

God is at work and we are encouraged. The printing of the paper
is a great change and everyone is working hard to learn their part. It takes
around 40 hours labour to just get the paper ready to mail. The ladies at the
church donate their time and we get it accomplished in one days time. With
the writing and the printing of the paper there are many hours work but
God has proven that it is a worth while work. Many tell us how it ministers
to their lives.

We did hear from some new people this month and one family shared
a large gift with us that helped us have all we needed to get started in this
direction. Everyones gift made a great difference this month. It gave us the
money to work with but most of all it told us God was moving upon peoples
hearts for this work. We do still need some people to commit to monthly support. When you read the letters this month you will see the unique way God
brings in our support.

There is a mens Bible study that meets every Saturday morning.
The men empty their pockets and all the change goes to Tid Bits. It averages between $12 and $19 each month. You may not think thats much but
it makes a difference, plus we know they are thinking of us each week.

We have had some unique ways to minister to others this month and
we thank God for the people He calls us to serve. When I retired from the
pastorate, I only retired from the burden of administration, not from my
service to Gods people and the church. We work as hard as we ever did,
we just do not have the salary or the burden. Sometimes we feel our work is
more effective since we can apply ourselves to the people only.

We would ask you to pray for Bro. Darryl Smith who has been given
a very serious diagnosis. Pray also for Sister Marilyn Henderson who is on
hospice and given a short time to live. Many others are fighting for their
lives today and we need to remember to pray for one another

This is the Connors workshop where we are putting the paper out now. These ladies, plus others from time to time, volunteer
to work all day until the job is done. Bro. Larry prints the paper a
few days ahead and Bro. Larry and Bro. Jerry staple while we fold,
collate, tab and address the paper. Mrs. Judy Connor cooks lunch
(which is always delicious). All of our hearts went into the paper you
are holding. Its our prayer that it will bless your heart and that you
will one day share with us what our work accomplished in your life.

THE HAND OF GOD

Eccl 9:1
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the
righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God:
KJV

Jerry and I are often asked how we are doing these days. When you are
walking by faith there is no easy way to express how you are doing. Walking by
faith is the most wonderful way to see the hand of God daily but there are times
that it is very scary, not knowing the mind of God concerning where you are and
not knowing where He is wanting you to go. Most of the time I answer, Any
day in the Lords will is a good day! If they ask about my health, I answer,
As Paul would say, I am glorying in mine infirmities! Sometimes if we
speak of our need we feel like we are asking for help, but if we answer all is well
that is not necessarily true at that moment. One thing we both do not want to do is
to complain or murmur. I often think of how the children of Israel would accuse
God of taking them into the wilderness to kill them. We want to remember that
God does all things for our good and He does it out of a heart of gold. It is Satan
that is out to kill us. In trying times we must keep straight who is who!

I have a cousin that loves to hear the stories of how God supplies our
needs. Once again this month God has supplied in a very special way. This was
a month with some BIG needs that could only be met in a miraculous way.

One day we went to the mail box to find a large gift for Tid Bits of Wisdom and a large gift for us. Our first thought was surprise and then we said, God
what is this for? We knew what the Tid Bits gift was to be used for but wondered
what the gift to us was for. Two days later, I found out I had to have a root canal
and a crown for my front tooth. Now there are two things in life that I asked God
please dont make me go through; one is to be without a front tooth; the other
was not to have to wear granny shoes. My feet are deformed with arthritis and
finding shoes I can wear is not easy. My tooth was a must, it had to be fixed.

Jerry and I have a friend who is a dentist. He has been very kind to me
several times in the past. I went to him and he said I needed a root canal and he
doesnt do root canals. He said I would have to go to another dentist for that and
then come back to him so he could fill the tooth and put a crown on it. Well, I
dont know if you have had this kind of work done lately or not but it runs right at
$3,000. I considered this a BIG need. We dont charge for anything. If we dont
have it, we dont do it! This tooth was a must. What do you do without money?
I also have another friend who works for the best dentist in Dallas. He

leave it undone!!! Let him bear the penalty for leaving it undone and one day he
will learn to do it. As long as someone else does his job he will never grow into
the man God created him to be and the woman in his life will grow hard, ugly
and resentful. Stay where God put you. You are his influence, not his redeemer.
Learn to discern between the two You may have to suffer until he gets the message, but it wont get better until you get out of his way and leave it up to him
and God. Ask God to make a man out of him. God does a great job. I stood in
Gods way of working on my husband for ten years. When I found my place,
Jerry began growing 90 miles a minute.

I remember one night while kneeling at an altar, telling God how bad
Jerry was (that was when we were both kids!) that God seemed to say to me, Is
he worse than when you married him? I quickly said, Oh, yes. Hes much
worse. Then God seemed to say, You mean being married to you hasnt helped
him? Wow! I hadnt thought about it that way but I hadnt been blessing his life.
I was keeping him from growing by my reactions.

Ladies, Mothers Day is coming. It is time for us as mothers to WAKE
UP and start training our children to be great godly men and women and work in a
way that will cause our men to RISE UP and get busy about our deliverance from
this sin sick generation. Women have a great work to do and we need to stop letting this world degrade our position in this life. When women are right with God
and walking in His light the world runs smoother. There is nothing little about
birthing children and working in the kitchen. It is a great work. There is no life
without the womb and there is no fellowship without the table. No one is birthed
without a womans touch. What difference are we making in the lives that God
created us to help. We need to live to make a difference.

In Hebrews 11 where God names the judges, He names Barak, not Deborah. While Deborah judged (counseled) Israel, Barak was the Judge of Israel.
Barak would have gone nowhere without Deborah, but Deborah never tried to do
his job. We may have to go with the men into battle to encourage them, but we
dont have to fight their battles. If a man needs your strength to be beside him,
then do so, but if you love that man, do not attempt to do his God given job. Jerry
often helps me do the dishes and I, many times, hold the light while he works on
the car, but we do not change positions.

David was weaned of his mother (Ps. 131). She taught him how not to
have a haughty heart, not to have lofty eyes, and not exercise himself in great
matters or things that were too high for him. Because of his mothers teaching,
he behaved and quieted himself. He knew how to act like a king. What have I
taught my children? What have you taught your children? Are you taking advantage of being a mother? We will give an account for our motherhood!!!

said he would do my root canal for $1400, but then he only charged half when
we went to pay out. I left him and returned to the first dentist who did the rest of
the work. The first dentist is not charging me. God has made it possible to get
my tooth fixed for the amount of the gift we received two days before we knew
of our need.

ITS TIME FOR MOTHER TO WAKE UP

AND FATHER TO RISE UP!
Awake,

awake,

Judg 5:12
Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise,
captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

Barak, and lead thy

I love reading about Deborah. You dont hear very many sermons about
her because the men dont know how to explain how God used her life to save
her people. Deborah was a prophetess, a wife and a mother. A prophetess is an
inspired woman, a poetess or a prophets wife. We dont know anything about
her husband so we dont know if he was a prophet but we can tell by reading the
Scripture that Deborah was an inspired woman. She judged the people. You
might call her a counselor today. She taught the people the heart and mind of God
so they could judge how to respond to their problems. This next verse explains
how Deborah served her people.
Judg 5:7
The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah
arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

Everything Deborah did, she did through the spirit of a mother! Deborah
mothered her people. She did for the people what she would do for her children.
A woman can do what she wants to as long as her spirit is in the right place! It is
only when a woman gets out of her creative position that she becomes the problem instead of the help meet. Deborah never did the mans job. Deborah helped
the people by wise counsel but when it came to deliverance of the people, that
was the mans job. Deborah did get Barak to his feet. Through her influence he
got up and did the job. Most women who struggle with convincing the man to
arise and get about what God has told him to do, will walk over him and do his
job. Their excuse is, he wouldnt do it so I had to. Honey, if he wont do it

We did not share our need with either dentist. God touched their hearts
for us. That is the way we have lived for the last year and a half. Three families
took us on for monthly support when Jerry retired. They will never know just
how much their gifts have done through the last year and a half. There have been
others who have dropped us a note with a love gift in it from time to time. Those
gifts always come when they are needed for the daily needs.

We have not lived under great pressure since we began this life of faith.
While the funds are given like daily bread, God has always been there when we
had a need. Hopefully God soon will put us back in a place where we can be doing the giving, more than the receiving. We have learned how to give through the
years but learning how to be on the receiving end is much harder to learn.

While going through the change of the printing of the paper, God has
touched the hearts of new people to join with us. There is a business man who
has offered to supply us with some of our needs. He also supplies many things
to the Connors so they can print free of charge. We had several new people to respond and that has encouraged our hearts greatly. Pray now that we can increase
our out put and place this paper in more homes and churches. God is so good. He
just keeps taking care of us. Thank you for your prayers and your support.

This week we are in the Valley (Harlingen, TX) ministering to some
sweet servants of God who have received some hard news about their health.
Their house is on the water and it is so peaceful a place to be while we deal with
a death sentence which is not so peaceful. We have spent three days sitting
around the table reading and discussing Scripture. God has been ministering to
both them and us! We have another family we love who has been given a death
sentence also and we hope to visit with them soon. Lifting up hearts and lives
is a big part of our retired lifes work. Its wonderful to watch God work in His
childrens lives!
Eccl 11:1-2
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be
upon the earth.
KJV

I have found that when I cast a piece of bread upon the water it always comes
back in loaves of bread.

DONT CRY!
OUR GOD IS ALIVE!

Rev 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Have you ever watched someone bow to an idol and pray their heart
out, hoping someone will hear? God
doesnt work through idols. Your idol
might not sit on a shelf, it might be
your marriage, your job, your children
or whatever you are expecting to give
you life. It might be your church if you
worship religion and not God. There
is no life in an idol. Life only comes
from our Creator the God of all flesh!

Oh how I enjoy my life, but
I love the God who has given me life
more than I love my life. The Scriptures are clear that we must lose our
life in Christ before we find our life.

If I allow Christ to live through me, He will bring my desires to pass (Ps
37:5).Christians are the only people who serve a living God and He lives to serve
our lives with love and rightousness!!! When I bow my knees in prayer to my
God I know He lives and that He can hear my cry. I know that He will answer me
in righteousness and truth and judgment.

It is so wonderful to serve a LIVING GOD! Just stop and think what the
Lord Jesus Christ provided for us when He died and then arose from out of that
grave. He made a way for us to live. The first Adam was made in the image of
God, and now we can be made in His person. Our new birth places us in the body
of Christ, all because He lives!
Ps 33:18-21
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his
mercy;
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Living this life is not easy. It has its bumps in the road but because Christ
lives, we can live. He delivers us daily from death and famine and many other
things. If you finish this day without departing from this life, it will be because
of Gods protection. Our trust is in the fact our God is alive and watching over
our every move and our every thought.
Ps 22:28-29
For the kingdom is the Lords: and he is the governor among the nations.
All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the
dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

Many people truly believe they can take care of themselves. Not so! No
man can keep his own soul alive! This day of life that you are enjoying was given
to you by the Living God. Have you thanked Him today for this life? How are
you using your time, your talents and your resources? Are you turning them to
gold or wood, hay and stubble? This next verse will explain how you can insure
that God will desire to keep you alive.
Ps 41:1-3
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of
trouble.
The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the
earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his
bed in his sickness.

Have a heart toward others needs and the Lord will have a heart toward
your needs. Through these verses we learn that if we fear God and hope in His
mercy, He will keep His eye upon us and keep us alive. If we consider the poor,
the Lord will be there for us when we have a need. Hes Alive! Hes Alive! And
Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow.
