INVITATION TO BID
The African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) is an international
non-for-profit, non-governmental organization that was founded in 1957 in
East Africa, seeking to provoke health care improvements of significance
important in Africa. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, AMREF has
country offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa
and in Southern Sudan country offices.
Although AMREF has been formally registered in Ethiopia in 1998,
a full-fledged country program was started in 2002. Since then, the
country program has grown from one project in Addis Ababa to over 20
projects in four regions (Addis Ababa, Afar, Oromia and Southern Nation,
Nationalities and People Region). AMREF in Ethiopia (AMREF ET) is
working in health development with the motto of providing better health
for the people of Ethiopia.
1. African Medical and Research Foundation, Addis Ababa is going
to undertake the construction of Reticulation work, Pump and
Generator installation and construction of concrete stand with
fibreglass tanker in 5 sites of AMIBARA AND AWASH WORED,
ZONE 3 OF AFAR REGION and now invites wax sealed
bids from eligible bidders for providing the necessary labour,
material and equipment for the construction and completion of,
AFORMENTIONED construction activities.
2. Contractors or Firms Licensed in the GC/BC or Water Supply
Projects with Renewed License Valid for the Year grade 6 and
above.
3. The Bill of Quantity and related documents can be purchased by
interested bidders on submission of a Written application, VAT
registration certificate, at the place of registration to the AMREF
office up on payment of a non-refundable fee ETB 50 (Fifty Birr)
with a complete set of contract document which is going to be
singed with the winner contract after the evaluation of the bid.
4. Bidders may obtain further information from African Medical and

INVITATION FOR AUDIT SERVICE PROVISION

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is an autonomous, non-profit, non-

partisan and non-discriminatory indigenous non-government charitable organization. Since
its establishment FGAE has been working to promote Sexual Reproductive Health and
Family Planning services. Current it has eight Area Offices that operate all over the country.

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) needs audit service from an authorized
audit firm.

The Scopes of the Service are:

Conduct Financial Audit directed to examination of books of accounts and financial statement
for the year 2011 ending December 31,2011. Interim reports, Management Letter and final
Audit Report will be the major outputs of the engagement. The final report will be expected on
or before March 15, 2011.

All authorized audit firms who fulfill the following requirements and classified as (GRADE A) by
the office of the Federal Auditor General are invited for the bid. Interested firms are expected to
submit evidences of the following requirements:

Professional license;
Trade license;
Evidence for paying current years tax;
Tax payers identification number (TIN No.);
Renewed license from the office of the Auditor General.

The prospective firm shall declare whether it has the requisite personal qualification, experience,
reasonable skill, care and diligence in the performance of the service in accordance with
recognized professional standards. Having professional staff and valid experience in the area
are basic requirements.

Assess the extent of the financial audit work required by observing the documents
available with Finance Division of FGAE and specify the time required to complete the job.
Develop proposal and declare the amount of audit fee to be changed for the audit work.
Submit all necessary documents (CV, Credential etc) that authenticate the qualification
and experience of the staff and confirm assignment of required professional on job
required for the financial audit.

The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency (the Agency or ATA) is an initiative of

Scope of Work

The Property Administration Specalist is responsible to ensure proper delivery and
issuance of properities/supplies inlcuding record keeping. The Property Administration

Specialist reports to the Senior Director, Finance and Admin until the General Service
Manager position is filled.

Key responsiblities will be the following

Ensures every property movement is supported by the required
documentation, and related records are timely and accurately updated,
Performs functions related to maintaining the Agency fixed asset register
/ .. current and accurate in respect to Identification Number, Description,
Quantity, Department and Personnel responsible for the property, Physical
Location, and Acquisition Value
Conduct tasks, in collaboration with the Finance and Accounting Department,
that are performed toreconcile the fixed asset & other properties register
with financial records,
Coordinate year-end physical counts of properties as per established
procedures, documenting and reporting discrepancies detailing description,
quantity, physical location, department and responsible,
Monitors supplies inventory maintaining proper records including bin card
for timely and accurate follow up on utilization and procurement,
Handles requests from other functional and program areas for supplies and
other resources under the management of the Department and respective
/ issuances as per established guidelines
Presents purchase request to the Department Manager for supplies and
other related resources based on the level of inventory and requirements of
functional and program areas requirements,
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Departments Manager

Key Responsibilities: The Irrigation Engineer will be responsible to coordinate and facilitate the
Irrigation Project contract and construction commencement; Giving of technical support, make
sure the study and design practicality and/or proper implementation of the recommended activities;
Monitor and supervise the day to day construction activities of the irrigation project; Check and
give consent every steps of the implementation process to ensure the proper usage of construction
materials, qualified workmanship; Take measurement, check the contractor payment certificate and
verify payments in accordance with the organization financial policy and agreed procedure in the
contract agreement. He / She will also be responsible to develop and maintain an updated market
price database for construction related materials; Support programme areas in the development
and implementation of standard designs and in bill of quantity document preparation, project and
contract document preparation, in undertaking periodical supervision of the construction projects;
Verify measurements and payment certificates; Engage in the design of institutional framework for
the management, operation and maintenance of water schemes along with Development Area staff
and communities; Take part in capacity building of community groups in water management and
maintenance of water systems.
Required Profile:
You should have BSc Degree in Hydraulics/Water Resource/Civil Engineering with a minimum
of three years professional experience, preferably in related fields. He / She also have personal
qualities of sense of judgment, team spirit, responsiveness and sensitivity, strong interpersonal skills,
willingness to learn, value driven, detail oriented, HIV/AIDS and gender sensitive and commitment
to the mission of the organization.
