Description of the Business

Valentin’s Delight Bites (VDB) is a unique name as compared to the existing shops that are in
the same line of business as ours. It attracts customers by already giving them the hint of what we offer.
Truly, it is part of the Filipino culture to include sweets as appetizer or snacks. VDB will now be providing
the new taste of sweets which will surely eliminate the usual and ordinary just at reasonable prices.

There are various sweets and snacks that they can choose from. Some flavours are inspired from
other countries and some are purely Pinoy made. Cakes, cupcakes, pies, munchkins, pretzels, candies,
name it and we have it. With our fully air-conditioned place, the customers can dine in and choose also
from our one-of-a-kind list of drinks which includes hot chocolate, pineapple juice and teas.

VDB isn’t your typical hangout place because aside from the cool and neat ambiance, each
customer can easily access to internet during their stay. Customer’s card will also be issued for loyal
customers where they can store their points for every purchase. Each point will have a corresponding
incentive. Pre-orders of cakes and other products are also accepted for clients who anticipate occasions.

Customers who have health concerns as regards sugar, bread and pastries which are specially
made to have low-sugar level will be available for them. Water and other sugar-free drinks will also be
offered. They can still enjoy their food without compromising their own health.

Filipinos are also known for buying pasalubong for their families and friends but it always gives
them the confusion while thinking of what to buy. Thus, one shouldn’t worry because VDB will take care of
it. The best pasalubong in town is now at Alimannao.

VDB will be a 24-hour store to cater the needs of all possible customers. It will be a good strategy
because we have to assure the customers that our products are newly baked every single day.

MARKET SEGMENT

There will be a team which will primarily be responsible in advertising the business before it
operates. Target customers will mostly be focused on students, employees, businessmen and tourists.
Along the busy road across the boundary of Peñablanca and Tuguegarao, a food corner for sweets will rise
which gives opportunity for the above mentioned target customers to easily find the place. Our feasibility
study proves that there is a high tendency that the business will grow in that area as it is near to two hotels,
regional offices and schools. Aside from that, visitors from other cities can also pass by.

For business meetings and seminars, organizers are always carefully thinking of snacks that they
will be preparing. Valentin’s Delight Bites probably can be listed as one of their choices. Our team will
provide contact numbers and emails for their inquiries. Through this strategy, potential customers can
easily communicate their needs. Active members of the customer support system will be assigned to
entertain questions.

achieve good impression. The products that we offer are not just served to people for profit purposes but

Customers

To build a strong and long-lasting relationship with customers, an effective communication with
them will primarily be our focused. By giving them the atmosphere and feeling of belongingness to our
shop, they can comfortably just visit the shop anytime they want. We will also make sure that our staff will
perform services which will exceed their expectations. Through our polite and friendly crew members, our
customers will surely love to always enter the shop.

Suppliers

We made sure that we have choose the best suppliers which we can rely on without having to be
compromised by costly supplies. Aside from main suppliers, we have decided to have other suppliers’
contact also to make sure that once the main supplier becomes out of stock or temporarily unavailable, the
operation will not be at risk.

Great Crescent Flour Corporation

Great Crescent Flour Corporation is 100% Filipino-owned Corporation which was registered with
SEC in December 2009. The company started its operation in February of 2010 after securing all the
necessary permits from BFAD, Bureau of Customs, BIR and other government agencies to import and
market different kinds and types of wheat flour from abroad. Its main office is located at AIC Gold Tower
Condominium, F. Ortigas, Jr Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City and its primary warehouse is situated in
Industrial Road, Karuhatan, and Valenzuela City.

Mariton

Since it’s near our area, we consider Mariton as our back-up supplier in times of need.

Tea and Coffee Depot

Established in 2016, Tea and Coffee Depot was launched to provide tea and coffee lovers easier,
and a more convenient way of buying and enjoying their much-needed caffeine fix and brewing essentials.

Bakels Philippines, Inc.

Bakels is known for supplying all ingredients needed to bake sweets and cakes. Red ribbon, a well-
known cake distributor, is in partnership with this company. It is located in Ortigas, Pasig City.

DISTRIBUTION

Customers will be given a menu or they could opt to come straight to the counter and choose what they
want. For orders, the crew members will prepare it and assure that the product will be available just in time.

OPERATING PLAN

Business Location

Valentin’s Delight Bites (VDB) will be located at Alimannao, Peñablanca, Cagayan. The shop will be
open for 24 hours which will cater each customer’s needs. This is the first shop of this kind within
Alimannao. In this regard, only 7 eleven which was located near the area will be its competitor. However,
since it was somewhat different from 7 eleven’s nature of business, it won’t post as a huge threat

Requirements

Our business will follow certain procedures on registering our business to make it legal. First, it is our duty
to register our business to the Department of Trade and Industry since the nature of our business is sole
proprietorship. We will also get a Barangay Clearance from our Barangay Hall that has jurisdiction over the
location of our business. After which, we will also get a business/mayor’s permit covering our business.
Then to get a Tax Identification Number (TIN) we’ll proceed to the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

HUMAN RESOURCE PLAN

KEY EMPLOYEES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

General Qualifications
-All employees must be 18 and above.
-All should be of good moral character.
-Can work under pressure.

Manager
-Sets goals and objectives.
-Makes decision wisely.
-Divides the work in manageable activities and supervises employees frequently.
-Should possess the qualifications of being a leader that promotes efficiency and effectivity among
employees.
-Ensures compliance with health and safety legislation of the business.
-He/she also manages the budget and looks over the changes and improvements with regards to budget
planning.
-Must possess skills and potentials which are supported by good track of records and credibility.

Cashier
-Must be attentive and energetic.
-Must be a graduate of any business course or at least college level.
-Communicates well with the customer.
-Must comply with the certain rules on entertaining customers and assuring that the products are being
billed correctly.

Crew
-Should comply with the guidelines of the shop such as 3 days training, orientation and observance of
proper etiquette.
-Must attend immediately to the need of the customer.
-Must dress neatly.
-Communicates politely with the customers and to their co-employees.

Baker
-Master in baking and must have attended trainings for vocational courses of specific expertise.
-Moves fast and attentively.

Bookkeeper
-Records all transactions of the shop.
-Acts as steward of the records.
