I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. demonstrate and explain the concept of uniform circular motion applying
Newton’s Laws of motion.
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of Newton’s three laws of motion and uniform circular motion.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to develop a written plan and implement a “Newton’s Olympics”.

C. Learning Competencies/Objectives The learners should be able to investigate the relationship between the amount of force applied and the mass
of the object to the amount of change in the object’s motion

An object undergoing uniform circular motion is moving with a constant speed. Nonetheless, it is
accelerating due to its change in direction. The direction of the acceleration is inwards.

Centripetal Force – is the force needed for an object to move in circular motion.
