Activities Pre Lesson
1. Review pupils’ name. Point to self and say own name.
2. Ask pupils to repeat the same.
Lesson Development
3. Teacher introduces the name of the characters in the book by using
flashcards.
4. Pupils look at the pictures. Pupils point to character by listening to
the recording.
5. Teacher reads the chants and pupils repeat.
6. Play the recording and pupils repeat. Play the recording twice.
7. Pupils practise the chant as a class.
8. Teacher calls four pupils to front to be the characters. The rest of the
class to ask the pupils.
9. Pupils sit in a circle. Pupils take turn to introduce themselves using
the targeted language structures.
Post Lesson
10. Pupils talk about the colours of the characters’ clothes.

1. Call to the front of the class four pupils whose names start with the
first four letters of the alphabet.
2. Stand the pupils in alphabetical order according to the first names.

3. Stick the alphabet cards around the room, capital letter side showing.
4. Point to each card in turn, saying the letter for pupils to repeat.
5. Repeat twice or thrice.
6. Play the recording again, in sections. Pupils repeat.
7. Use the karaoke version to sing the song.
8. Say the alphabet in sequence around the classroom.
9. Sequence the words according to alphabetical order.
