AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

The lesson has about Add to Two Digit Number and I starting the lesson to let students do the
quiz to recap what we learned yesterday. Then I let them to see the video to have idea about what
we will learned. In addition, I used Pre-listening for students by introduce for them video. Also,
students should be able to add two digit numbers.

Who is the lesson for?

The lesson for Grade and 2-5 for 24 boys and girls.
Where did the lesson take place?

It was in It was in the Microsoft teems online Math classroom. The lesson was about Add to a
Two Digit Number. Besides, at the beginning of the lesson, they will listen to the rules to make
sure they have their materials such as pencil and book and I tell them the class rules after that I
told them to open the microphone and repeat the rules after me.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

I am working on: Implementing learning, in Math facts to solve Add to a Two Digit Number.
Also, arrive the information for students by easy way to use for them pictures and told them do
the activity in the Nearpod and show them video.

What did the students do?

They were attentive and focused during play Near pod and online quiz. Also, they focused when
I presented for them the video. And in the Near pod activities, students are excited to do their
tasks because I prepare for them easy activity. And I assessed students works.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

I feel students respond the lesson because they were enjoyable when I told them our lesson will
be in the Nearpod. In addition, learners are enthusiastic when we played in the Near pod to be
more involved. And I believe all students felt like they could add two digit numbers.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

In grade one, the students learned about adding and place value.

How well did you engage the students?

The students were engaged when they do in the beginning of class online quiz to let them
remember what we took yesterday. Also the students are interesting and focused when I showed
them video and did the activity. And students are engaging because they used online activities.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

I found that the online activities and online quiz were appropriate for each level because I make a
search to know new ideas of Near pod activities. Although I had to support students by checked
their answers in the Nearpod and I help some students. And I feel some students cant add two
digit number and they confused they add wrong.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?

What are the implications for your professional practice?

In my next lesson, I will explain for them in English and Arabic to help their parents know which
number we should first to add and how we carrying out. I will provide for them online game to
practice more. Also, next time I will use I pad to monitored students when they participate such
as raising an electronic hand. And I felt, students were understood the lessons because they were
participated with me and their answers were correct just few students need to work more I send
them live worksheet to be practice.
