Lesson: Challenge 1

Challenge: Modify the file “Air Cylinder Simulation Challenge.f3d”. Increase the load from the
air cylinder to 45lbs. Clone the load case and modify the load direction to -20deg so the load is
applied slightly upward. Solve the simulation study and review the results. Identify the minimum
safety factor in the design for each load case and think about design modification to help
increase the safety factor. Weekly challenges are ungraded and a great chance to explore the
software without rigid instructions. There is no single solution to this challenge so use this
opportunity to modify the design and explore the simulation results and how things are affected
by the changes.
