Commitment to the Profession F D C B A

Comments:

Jawaher arrives on time for her online learning. When Jawaher has questions about how her MST wants her to teach the
lesson, she converses with her MST on various communications. Jawaher takes the lead and uses initiative inside the
classroom. When the observer had software problems and was with IT and was too late for Jawaher observation. The
observer called a meeting to explain that she forgot by double booking Jawaher said she understood.

Planning for Learning F D C B A

Comments:
Jawaher used the standard lesson-planning template to design and plan in consultation with the MST; some of the lesson
plan components are missing. Jawaher cannot delete components on the lesson plans; this document should not be
altered. Jawaher lesson plan includes strategies and supporting materials to assist students. Comments are written on the
lesson plans, so she knows how to correctly write the components; there are many grammatical errors.
Managing Learning F D C B A
Comments:
At the beginning of class, Jawaher reads the online class rules to the students.
• There were too many rules; she had nine rules; some did not go along with what she was saying. For instance, she
said to "the students to mute your mic." However, the words on the rules card said, "mute yourself." "Be
respectful" however, the card had the words, but with a big red heart. The suggestion is to pay attention to what is
written in print and pictures and only give young KG students 4 to 6 rules that pertain to the issues and behavior
concerning the class. Make sure the pictures are age-appropriate. With fewer rules, you and students can focus on
keeping inappropriate behavior at a minimum, and consistency will be easy to obtain.
• Jawaher demonstrates the ability to manage transitions between activities; however, she introduces some topics
without explaining the lesson. For instance, reading slides, she introduces a white plan slide of "Here is the" there
is no explanation of why the words are being present. When she says the words, the observer could not tell if they
were for a sentence or vocabulary words. She showed the slide and did not explain what the students needed to
do with the words. She just read the words. Suggestion: Jawaher could have scaffolded similar words by showing
an example of Here is the cat and had a picture of a cat along with the word.
• She uses various types of resources to extend teaching and learning opportunities in her online classroom. She
used Padlet.
• Jawaher uses Padlet, which students use for writing their name and the letter I. She explains to the class to go to
the chat and click on the link. Most of the student was able to follow her directions. However, not all students
were able to follow along. Suggestion: Go back over the directions for the lower level students and go step by step
to assist them with this problem.
• During Jawaher morning routine, she lost her classroom presence because she had the prompts on the wall.
When she took the words off the wall, her back was faced towards the camera; when she put the words back on
the wall, her back was faced. This is an online class suggestion to put the days of the week on the PowerPoint. So
she can manage her lesson and have a significant online classroom presence.
Implementing Learning F D C B A
Comments:

Jawaher had a variety of useful teaching materials, which were appropriate for Kindergarten students. The week's days were
flashcards with pictures; however, she asked about the weather for the questions, and her card showed she had the wrong
tense. What is the weather today? Jawaher showed a picture of the sun, and the word said the sun. Her students said
Sunny, which was the correct answer, but she had the wrong word. Suggestion: Add the correct adjective/verb on the back
with the picture. Jawaher employs various questioning techniques; however, she allows students to yell out the answer,
which she did not have any strategies to maintain an orderly online classroom. Suggestion to call upon students by name
and allow them time to turn on their microphone and answer. Jawaher needs to summarize and close her topics while
maintaining effective time management. When Jawaher showed her video, the class could not hear it; there were technical
problems. Jawaher did not participate in singing some of the singing the good morning song. Her teacher started to sing to
assist the students in singing the song. Use both PowerPoint and made course materials. However, please do not post to the
wall; keep them on the wall, preventing you from turning your back to the camera. Make sure to learn the correct
pronunciation of Phonics, which is a huge component of being an English Teacher. When asked Jawaher to explain the Able
to reflect on the lesson taught and justify student learning outcomes, she had some difficulties with some of the outcomes.

Assessment F D C B A
Comments:
Jawaher develops and applies appropriate monitoring strategies during teaching sessions, WH questions, and gave students
feedback with students' explanations. She had students show their work and demonstrate their writing skills; she observes
and corrected them.

Reflection on Practice F D C B A
Comments:
Jawaher identifies, apply, and reflect on strategies, which will improve lesson delivery. Next, she needs to demonstrate a
growing ability to link theory and practice. After the initial shock of Jawaher being presented with the feedback, she began
to reflect on how she taught the lesson through her reflection paper, and she had great insight into her teaching.

Action Plan:
• Be able to handle feedback and listen from your Mentor Teachers.
• Continue to use Padlet for active online learning.
• Explain in detail, summarize, and close lessons.
• Work on Phonics and grammar.
