RESOLUTION NO. 121

Series of 2020

“REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR TO ISSUE DIRECTIVE TO

OPERATORS/DRIVERS OF TRICYCLES AND BAO-BAO OPERATING IN
BARANGAY CAMPBAGANG, THIS MUNICIPALITY, TO ABIDE
THE LTO RULES AND POLICIES ON THE OPERATION
OF PUBLIC CONVEYANCES”

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 653-20, S. 2020 from the Provincial Council of Surigao del
Sur entitled “Earnestly Requesting All LGUs of the Province of Surigao del Sur to Monitor and
Regulate the Fare Increase/Adjustment of Tricycles/Motorized Trisikad/Trisikad not duly
Approved by the Sanggunian in their Respective Areas of Jurisdiction”;

WHEREAS, during the Committee Meeting conducted on May 18, 2020, thru the
Committees on Transportation and Public Safety/Peace and Order, issues have reached the
Office of the Sangguniang Bayan regarding the operation of tricycles and bao-bao operating in
Brgy. Campbagang catering passengers to and from Poblacion, are as follows:

1. Fare charges are almost triple times (3x) from the original fare;
2. Some are colorum; and
3. Others have franchise but are issued by the Municipal Government of San Francisco,
Agusan del Sur

WHEREAS, to regulate the fare rate of said tricycles and bao-bao, the Sangguniang
Bayan has passed Resolution No. 120, S. 2020 entitled: “Providing Fare Matrix for
Tricycles and Bao-Bao Operating in this Municipality Only During the Duration
of Covid-19 Pandemic”;

WHEREAS, Brgy. Campbagang is a barangay of Barobo, Surigao del Sur, thus, any
franchising for tricycles and bao-bao or other public conveyances should be issued by the Local
Government of Barobo, not by the Municipality of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

NOW THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Barobo, Surigao del Sur, to:

REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR TO ISSUE DIRECTIVE TO

OPERATORS/DRIVERS OF TRICYCLES AND BAO-BAO OPERATING IN
BARANGAY CAMPBAGANG, THIS MUNICIPALITY, TO ABIDE THE LTO
RULES AND POLICIES ON THE OPERATION OF PUBLIC CONVEYANCES,
viz:

1. Must abide the fare matrix provided for in Resolution No. 120, S. 2020;
2. Franchise must have been renewed/valid this current year;
3. Colorum operation is strictly prohibited; and
4. Application or renewal of franchise should be made at the Local Government Unit of
Barobo, Surigao del Sur (not from San Francisco, Agusan del Sur)

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution the following

persons/dignitaries for their information, guidance and appropriate disposition.

1. Hon. Joey S. Pama, Mun. Mayor;

2. Ms. Ma. Prosiebelle Llywellyn P. Abejuela, MLGOO;
3. Mr. Vicente Calnea, Head Traffic Enforcer;
4. PNP Station Commander;
5. Barangay Council of Brgy. Campbagang - Thru the Brgy. Captain
6. The IATF Head - Brgy. Campbagang
